DB Investing Review: Regulation, Fees, Pros and Cons

DB Investing review: regulation, fees, strengths and risks

DB Investing has an identifiable Seychelles-regulated entity and an accessible MT5 account range, but its contractual restrictions deserve as much attention as its headline prices. Standard and Raw accounts are advertised from $10, with a choice of spread-only or spread-plus-commission pricing. Against that, some official pages disagree on charges, automated trading and scalping face account-specific restrictions, and the agreement reserves broad rights over deductions and delayed withdrawals. It is a broker to compare on a specific account and strategy—not one to judge as safe or inexpensive from a licence badge or a zero-spread headline.

DB Investing offers forex and CFD trading. This review focuses on DB Invest Limited, the entity the website identifies with its MT5 business. The site excludes residents of the European Union, the United States and other restricted jurisdictions, including where its services would breach local rules. An available language, payment currency or regional group office does not by itself establish account eligibility.

DB Investing at a glance: advantages and drawbacks

Where the offer is useful

  • Low entry point for two pricing models. The main account page lists $10 minimum deposits for both Standard and Raw. Access to commission-based pricing does not require the several-thousand-dollar deposit advertised for Pro.
  • A meaningful cost choice. Standard has no separate trading commission; Raw and Pro combine a spread with a stated per-lot charge. Traders can compare these structures against their own volume instead of choosing on the spread alone.
  • Familiar MT5 access. Desktop, web and mobile versions cover markets including forex, metals and indices. Existing MT5 users can keep a familiar interface.

Where the limitations matter

  • Inconsistent public pricing. The main account page and the comparison embedded in the Cent page differ on items including the Pro deposit and Raw commission.
  • Strategy restrictions. MT5 support for Expert Advisors does not mean every account permits them. Scalping has separate account and ratio conditions.
  • A mismatch between entry and withdrawal minimums. A $10 starting deposit is not a promise that $10 can later be withdrawn by card or wire; the agreement lists a $50 or €50 minimum for those routes.
  • Costs beyond spreads. Dormancy charges and the agreement’s profit-deduction, termination and payment-delay provisions can matter more than a small commission saving.

Is DB Investing regulated, and what protects client funds?

The contracting entity matters more than the number of group registrations

The Seychelles Financial Services Authority’s capital-markets register lists DB Invest Limited, the DBInvesting trade name and dbinvesting.com. The website’s client agreement identifies securities-dealer licence SD053. This establishes a traceable regulated entity; it does not establish that every account is protected under every jurisdiction mentioned by the group.

The website also discloses group companies in Mauritius, the UAE and Canada. Their permissions differ. The UAE company’s stated Category 5 permission covers introduction and promotion, not brokerage services or execution of client trades. The Canadian money-services-business registration is not a forex brokerage licence. The site identifies DB Invest Limited as the entity using MT5, so these registrations should not be added together as multiple layers of protection for the same trading account.

The insurance claim has a specific trigger

DB Investing’s insurance page says DB-investing Global clients of DB Invest Limited have cover of up to $50,000 per client, triggered only by the insolvency of DB Invest Limited. That is not a promise to reimburse trading losses or every disputed withdrawal. The page does not disclose the insurer, policy number or full policy; actual cover remains subject to the policy terms.

There is also a material contractual concern. Clause 8.13 says the company may terminate the agreement and retain the account balance to cover legal fees and related damages if it finds negative reviews, comments or social-media posts about its brand, management or employees. This is the company’s published provision, not evidence that it has been enforced or that its legal validity has been established. Nevertheless, it introduces uncertainty into a customer dispute.

The practical safety question is therefore broader than whether a licence exists. A verified legal entity is a starting point. The scope of any insurance, the rights over account funds and the applicable dispute provisions determine whether the arrangement meets a customer’s expectations of protection.

Accounts and fees: is Raw actually cheaper than Standard?

The main difference between Standard, Raw and Pro is the combination of spread and commission. The figures below follow the main account comparison page. “From” spreads are advertised floors, not measured averages or prices guaranteed on every instrument and order.

Feature Standard Raw Pro
Minimum deposit $10 $10 $5,000
Advertised spread from 1 pip 0 pips 0 pips
Commission per standard lot, per side $0 $3 $1.50
Commission per standard lot, round trip $0 $6 $3

The comparison on the Cent page instead lists a $10,000 Pro minimum and no Raw commission. Those figures conflict with the main account page used above. The account offered at onboarding and its fee schedule need to match; it is not reasonable to combine the most favourable figures from different pages.

The 0.6-pip comparison

For an illustrative USD-denominated account trading one standard lot of EUR/USD—€100,000—a 0.0001 move, or one pip, is worth $10. Raw’s $6 opening-and-closing commission is equivalent to 0.6 pip; Pro’s $3 is equivalent to 0.3 pip. A pip here is not the smallest “point” on a five-decimal MT5 quote.

For the same instrument and comparable trading conditions, Raw is cheaper on spread plus commission only when its actual spread is more than 0.6 pip below Standard’s. If Raw and Pro have the same actual spread, Pro saves $3 per round-trip standard lot. However, its $5,000 minimum is committed capital, not a fee; the commission saving alone does not establish that the larger deposit makes sense. These calculations exclude financing, slippage and currency conversion.

Cent accounts, swap-free periods and inactivity

Cent displays balances in US cents. Its page lists a 1,000 USC minimum—approximately $10—and a minimum order of 0.01 cent lot. A displayed balance of 1,000 is not $1,000, and contract specifications still determine the exposure of each lot. The Cent FAQ explicitly says this account has no swap-free option.

Swap-free does not mean indefinitely free to hold. The general FAQ lists three days for Standard, five for Raw and seven for Pro, after which standard swap rates apply. The online agreement refers to up to seven consecutive holding days on specified instruments; the separate swap-free policy says charges may apply after 14 days and also permits administrative fees. These are not consistent published terms, so a long-term holding strategy should not be costed on an assumed universal 14-day free period.

The online agreement also lists a $25 monthly dormant-account charge after at least 60 days without opening a trade. For an infrequent trader or someone leaving an account unused, that can outweigh the commission difference on a small number of transactions.

MT5, available markets and trading restrictions

DB Investing offers MT5 on desktop, web and mobile, and its website presents forex, precious metals, commodities, indices, stock CFDs and cryptocurrency CFDs. Familiarity with MT5 may make the interface attractive, but a stock or crypto CFD is not ownership of the underlying asset. Contract sizes and holding costs differ by product.

Platform capability and contractual permission are separate questions. Clause 8.11.7 restricts EA use to STP accounts, while the Cent product FAQ advertises EA support. The current product name must therefore be matched to its contractual account classification and permission; MT5 compatibility is not blanket approval to run a robot.

The general prohibited-strategies clause includes scalping. Clause 4.13 then provides a conditional STP exception with a scalping ratio below 25%, but does not clearly explain the denominator and calculation method. For non-STP scalping involving trades closed within five minutes, the company reserves a penalty equivalent to the account’s total profits. This is neither a ban on every ordinary intraday trade nor unrestricted permission for STP scalping. For rapid-entry strategies or automation, these conditions can determine whether the account is usable at all.

Deposits and withdrawals: methods, minimums and timing

The payment directory and FAQ include Visa, Mastercard, bank transfers, e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller, crypto assets and regional payment methods. Availability depends on residence, verification and the payment provider. Some routes show zero fees; others leave the fee field blank. A blank field is not confirmation of free transfers, and deposit limits should not be reused as withdrawal limits.

Stage or route Published information and limitations
Eligibility review and withdrawal processing The FAQ says eligibility review takes up to one hour. The agreement separately gives a few hours to a maximum of 48 hours for withdrawal processing, excluding weekends and holidays; missing documents or compliance checks can extend it. Neither is an arrival guarantee.
Bank transfer arrival The FAQ lists two to three working days. The agreement sets a $50 or €50 minimum for wire withdrawals.
Card arrival The FAQ lists up to ten working days. The agreement sets a $50 or €50 minimum for card withdrawals.
E-wallets and crypto There is no universal arrival commitment covering all routes; verification, wallet details, network conditions and provider checks can affect processing.

Approval and money reaching an external account are different events. A fast-processing claim does not override the payment route’s settlement time. Likewise, a $10 account minimum does not establish a right to withdraw $10 to a card; a small-balance customer needs a workable original-payment refund or withdrawal route.

Verification normally calls for identity documents and proof of address dated within six months; payment details must match the account holder. Withdrawals follow the original funding-method rule and depend on available funds, open-position margin and any further documentation. The agreement also permits delays where a dispute remains unresolved. Email, phone and live chat are available support channels, but the site uses both 24/5 and 24/7 descriptions, which do not establish a guaranteed instant response.

What do the reported customer disputes show?

May 2025: the customer confirmed a resolution

BrokersView’s withdrawal-dispute follow-up records that the complainant confirmed resolution on May 14, 2025. DB Investing described the issue as a disagreement over rebates and alleged use of an automated tool. There is a customer-confirmed resolution, but the report did not establish every disputed detail.

December 2025: a dispute over gold-trading profits

In a separate gold scalping complaint, a customer alleged that about $7,900 of profits had been removed. DB Investing maintained that the trading breached its scalping rules. The parties disagreed over how the terms and trading ratio applied; the report published on December 17, 2025 did not provide a final resolution.

Neither case establishes a broker-wide withdrawal success rate. They illustrate different outcomes: one had a confirmed resolution, while the other concerned strategy compliance and the treatment of profits. For a frequent short-term trader, affordable pricing is not enough if the method of trading may breach the contract.

Verdict: who might consider DB Investing?

The clearest appeal is low-entry Standard and Raw pricing combined with MT5 market access. A trader who specifically wants MT5, can compare actual spreads with round-trip commissions, and uses a strategy permitted under the applicable agreement can include it in an account comparison. Standard is simpler to price; Raw’s value depends on the spread saving; Pro’s lower commission has to justify the higher capital commitment for that customer.

It is a less straightforward fit for unrestricted EA use, frequent scalping, extended swap-free holding or small card withdrawals. Public inconsistencies, dormancy charges, the negative-review balance-retention provision and reported disputes also prevent an uncomplicated “safe and hassle-free” conclusion. A regulated entity is a real positive, but the contract is part of the product—not a detail separate from the decision.

Frequently asked questions

Is DB Investing a regulated broker?

DB Invest Limited, the entity associated with its MT5 business, appears in the Seychelles FSA register; the client agreement lists licence SD053. That does not mean risk-free trading or permission to serve residents of every country.

What is DB Investing’s minimum deposit?

The main account page lists $10 for Standard and Raw, and $5,000 for Pro. Cent lists 1,000 USC, approximately $10. A different Pro minimum appears elsewhere on the site, so the offered account terms need confirmation.

Does a zero-spread account have no trading fees?

No. Raw and Pro advertise spreads from zero, but charge $3 and $1.50 per standard lot per side respectively: $6 and $3 for opening and closing. Financing and other applicable costs may be additional.

How long do DB Investing withdrawals take?

The FAQ lists two to three working days for bank transfers and up to ten working days for cards. Eligibility review, withdrawal processing and receipt of funds are distinct stages. Further checks or missing documents can add time; card and wire routes also have minimum withdrawal amounts.
