Aug 06, 2026 BrokersView

Capital.com has appointed Mamoon Sbeih as Chief Strategy Officer, strengthening its executive team as the global online trading platform continues its expansion into new markets and jurisdictions.

In his new role, Sbeih will lead corporate strategy, government relations, and corporate communications, supporting Capital.com’s long-term growth plans and strategic development.

Sbeih brings 27 years of experience in strategic communications and public affairs, with a strong focus on the Middle East and North Africa region. He previously spent more than 20 years at APCO Worldwide, where he held senior leadership roles including Managing Director of MENA, Regional President, Chief International Business Development Officer, and MENA Chairman.

During his time at APCO, Sbeih helped expand the firm’s regional operations and advised governments, multinational companies, and institutions on communications, stakeholder engagement, and complex market environments.

Earlier in his career, he worked at the World Bank as an External Affairs and Aid Coordination Officer, before joining BCW in the UAE and later moving to APCO in 2006.

Capital.com Founder Viktor Prokopenya said Sbeih’s experience in government relations and strategic communication would support the company’s expansion into new markets and strengthen its global positioning.

Commenting on his appointment, Sbeih said he was looking forward to contributing his experience in helping organisations navigate complexity and communicate effectively as Capital.com continues to grow.

The appointment reflects the growing importance of strategic leadership within the online trading sector, as brokers increasingly focus on international expansion, regulatory engagement, and stronger corporate positioning. Sbeih’s addition is expected to support Capital.com’s efforts to build its presence across global markets.
