TradeLocker has appointed industry veteran Alex Skolar as Chief Product Officer, adding another experienced executive to its leadership team. Skolar joins the trading technology firm from Velexa, part of EXANTE, where he held the same title.
Based in London, Skolar brings nearly three decades of experience across product leadership roles at prominent financial and trading institutions. He previously served as Head of Product and Platform Management at ThinkMarkets, and earlier held senior roles at Saxo Bank, including Director and Platform Manager for SaxTraderPRO in Denmark.
His career also includes work in trade-finance technology as Chief Product Officer at Tradeteq, along with almost seven years at Thomson Reuters in equity-trading product leadership roles. At the firm, he worked as Director of Equity Transactions in Eikon after initially joining as Head of Trading Product Management.
Earlier positions include product management responsibilities at the London Stock Exchange, and a Product Controller role for emerging markets at Merrill Lynch.
The leadership reshuffle follows broader changes at TradeLocker. In July, fintech investment firm Deus X Capital appointed Dom Bradley as its new CEO. Bradley spent more than six years at IG Group as Regional CTO and Head of Client Platform Technology before joining Deus X Capital in 2023 as CTO of its Broker-as-a-Service subsidiary Deus X Markets.
TradeLocker serves as the group's trading platform provider for online brokers and proprietary trading firms. As a portfolio company of Deus X Capital, it benefits from the parent group's investment and strategic oversight in fintech and digital assets. The firm's latest appointment suggests continued focus on product development, user experience, and platform functionality, areas seen as critical in a competitive trading-technology market.
