The Singapore Police Force (SPF) has issued a warning about a new scam involving fraudulent emails that impersonate the Commissioner of Police.
Victims receive unsolicited emails containing a so‑called “warning letter,” falsely claiming that the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and SPF are investigating them for criminal activity. The letter instructs recipients to submit a written statement to a designated email address, threatening arrest if they fail to comply.
SPF stresses that these emails are fake and not issued by the Police or any Singapore government agency. Officials will never email or call people to:

Earlier this month, SPF charged two men, aged 24 and 27, over multiple fraud cases involving the impersonation of government officials.
