Plus500 Agrees to Buy Brazil’s Guru in Latin America Push

8 hours ago By Bob

Plus500 has conditionally agreed to acquire Brazilian broker-dealer Guru, according to an October 20 announcement. The proposed deal would expand the trading group’s presence in Latin America.

Guru Deal Awaits Regulatory Approval

The agreement covers full ownership of Guru Corretora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários Ltda. Completion remains subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.

Plus500 did not disclose the purchase price. It plans to fund the deal from existing cash resources, which exceeded $860 million as of June 30, 2026.

Broader Product Plans for Brazil

According to Plus500, Guru is authorised by Brazil’s central bank and subject to CVM regulation. The company said the acquisition would support an expanded local offering of stocks, futures, options and fixed-income securities, building on its Nelogica partnership and presence in Colombia.

Investors should verify the legal entity serving their account and its permissions before trading. Regulatory authorisation does not remove investment risk. Visit BrokersView to ask questions about brokers and their regulatory status.
