Philippines SEC Warns Against Fortune Wave Entities for Fraudulent Investment Schemes

Jul 30, 2025 BrokersView

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the Philippines has issued a public advisory cautioning investors against engaging with Fortune Wave Solution Hub OPC, Fortune Wave Trading, and Fortune Wave Trading Ph—entities illegally soliciting investments and misrepresenting high-return financial schemes to the public.

The Commission discovered that these entities have been aggressively marketing unauthorized investment products across public platforms. Promises of guaranteed daily earnings of 3% for 60 days with a minimum capital outlay of ₱1,000.00, 200% return in 35 days for a minimum investment of ₱5,000.00, and 330% return in 43 days for a minimum investment of ₱30,000.00 have been used to lure investors.

These transactions are facilitated through digital banking channels, notably via a GoTyme Bank account registered under the name King Guiller Ortile, whose credentials have been publicly accessible on social media.

While Fortune Wave Solution Hub OPC is registered with the Philippines SEC as a One-Person Corporation, it has not been granted the authority to offer or sell any form of securities to the public. Fortune Wave Trading and Fortune Wave Trading Ph, meanwhile, have no corporate registration with the Commission whatsoever.

The SEC warns that the tactics employed by these entities bear the hallmarks of a Ponzi scheme, where returns paid to early participants are funded by the contributions of newer investors, rather than through any legitimate business activities. Such arrangements are inherently unsustainable and fraudulent and pose serious financial risks to unwitting investors.

In light of these findings, the Commission urges the public to immediately cease all investment dealings with the named entities, or with any others operating under similar schemes. Investors are reminded to exercise extreme caution and due diligence before entrusting their money to offers that tout unrealistically high returns with little to no risk.
