16 hours ago BrokersView

OneRoyal has appointed Marilena Iakovou as Chief Marketing Officer, strengthening its senior leadership team as the firm advances its international growth and brand strategy.

Iakovou brings more than 20 years of experience across marketing, communications, and fintech, with a strong focus on regulated brokerage and financial services businesses. Her appointment comes as OneRoyal continues to expand its footprint across multiple markets and invest in customer-focused product development.

She has held several senior marketing roles within the online trading sector. Prior to joining OneRoyal, Iakovou served as Chief Marketing Officer at Doo Prime, part of Doo Group. Before that, she led marketing at M4Markets between 2020 and 2023, where she oversaw global brand development and supported the firm’s regulatory expansion, including the acquisition of a CySEC licence in 2022. Earlier in her career, she was Group CMO at Tickmill, contributing to the broker’s global marketing strategy and international positioning.

Alongside Iakovou, OneRoyal has also added Mariliza Karrera to its senior team. Karrera brings extensive experience in marketing and brand management, having previously worked at both M4Markets and Doo Group. The two have worked closely together in prior roles, and their appointments are expected to reinforce OneRoyal’s marketing execution and strategic alignment.

The latest hires follow a series of senior-level appointments at OneRoyal. As previously reported, the firm named Dominic Poynter as Chief Commercial Officer last December, reflecting a broader push to strengthen leadership across commercial, marketing, and growth functions.

In her new role, Iakovou will oversee OneRoyal’s global marketing operations, including brand positioning, digital acquisition, partnerships, and customer experience initiatives, as the firm seeks to scale in key regulated jurisdictions.

Commenting on the appointment, OneRoyal CEO Rayan Al-Annan said the company was focused on building a leadership team capable of supporting long-term growth and brand development in competitive global markets.
