NZ FMA Warns Against Fraudulent Trading Platform Sanon Capital Involved in Recovery Scam

Jun 26, 2025 BrokersView

According to the latest warning issued by the Financial Markets Authority of New Zealand (NZ FMA), Sanon Capital has been identified as a fraudulent online trading platform linked to both investment and recovery scams.

According to the FMA, investor reports indicate that Sanon Capital email addresses have been used to target fraud victims in a separate recovery fraud scheme. In these emails, Sanon Capital impersonates the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and falsely informs victims that their lost funds have been recovered in cryptocurrency. Victims are then instructed to make a small advance payment to release the funds, a tactic commonly used in recovery scams. No funds would be returned despite the requested payments being made.

The FMA has confirmed that Sanon Capital is not listed on its Financial Service Providers Register and is not authorized to offer financial products or services to local investors.

Investors are urged to exercise extreme caution when dealing with Sanon Capital or any related websites (Sanoncapital.pro; Sanoncapital.trade) and communication channels (support@sanoncapital.pro; karolina.harper@sanoncapital.pro).

This month, the FMA also issued a warning about Blu Spring Financials, a suspected recovery scam, and flagged numerous affiliated websites.
