London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) announced the launch of a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector for ChatGPT users, enabling access to licensed financial data, analytics and news directly within OpenAI's platform. The rollout represents a new phase of LSEG's "LSEG Everywhere" strategy aimed at integrating the group's market data into leading AI applications.
The new connector will first support financial data from LSEG Financial Analytics, allowing users with active LSEG licenses to run analysis, query datasets and work with real-time information inside the ChatGPT interface. Additional data categories and functions will be added in later stages.
With the integration, users of ChatGPT Enterprise and licensed individuals will be able to retrieve and analyze LSEG's market data, including pricing, corporate actions, analytics and news flow. LSEG said its AI-ready content is designed to help analysts and enterprise customers generate faster insights and reduce time spent manually collecting information.
Emily Prince, LSEG's Group Head of AI, said the connector "combines all the benefits of a secure, enterprise AI platform with a seamless MCP connection and the unparalleled depth, breadth and quality of financial data, analytics, news and commentary that LSEG provides."
The connector is expected to go live during the week of December 8, 2025.
LSEG also announced that an initial 4,000 employees will receive access to ChatGPT Enterprise, with the goal of improving workflows, enhancing productivity and accelerating internal processes. The company will work with OpenAI's technical teams to ensure operational readiness and successful adoption of the latest AI models.
Ashley Kramer, Chief Revenue Officer at OpenAI, said, "LSEG's market data and analytics power decisions across global finance. Integrating that strength into ChatGPT makes it even easier for customers to ask complex questions and move quickly with confidence."
The integration expands on LSEG's recent partnerships with Microsoft, Snowflake, Claude, Databricks and other enterprise-grade AI platforms.
