Is Valutrades Shutting Down? When Is It Closing and Can You Still Withdraw?

3 hours ago BrokersView

Valutrades has come under growing scrutiny after reports emerged that the long-established forex and CFD broker is winding down its services. The sudden development has left traders asking whether Valutrades is shutting down, why it is closing, when services will end, and—most importantly—whether clients can still withdraw their funds safely.

Is Valutrades Shutting Down?

Yes, the available evidence indicates that Valutrades is winding down brokerage services affecting its global client base. Valutrades customer support has confirmed that the decision is not limited to a single market, stating that it “affects our global client base.”

There are also visible signs of the wind-down on Valutrades’ own systems. Its account registration portal currently displays the message “New Account Applications Are Closed”, while its main website remains accessible. Together with the service termination notice issued to clients, these developments indicate that Valutrades is winding down services in stages rather than disappearing abruptly.

Why Is Valutrades Shutting Down?

Valutrades has not disclosed a detailed reason for shutting down its services. According to its customer support, the decision follows “ongoing changes to our business direction” and a “recent strategic review of our operations.” The broker has not identified a specific financial, regulatory, or operational event as the reason for the decision.

The timing is notable. Valutrades was still updating client-facing information shortly before the wind-down, while its website continued to promote forex and CFD trading services. UK corporate records also show that Valutrades Limited filed its 2025 group accounts in May 2026, while director Anil Kumar Mulchand Bahirwani left the company on July 28, 2026. These developments provide useful context, but none establishes the underlying reason for the shutdown.

When Is Valutrades Closing?

Valutrades is winding down its services in stages rather than on a single date. According to the service notice issued to clients, trading restrictions began on August 28, 2026, followed by several important deadlines between September 12 and September 14.

Date What Happens
August 28, 2026 After the end of the trading day, clients can close existing positions but can no longer open new positions.
September 12, 2026 At 5:00 p.m. GMT, any positions that remain open are scheduled to be automatically closed at prevailing market prices, with resulting profits or losses applied to client accounts.
September 13, 2026 Deposits and withdrawals will continue to be processed through the end of the day, although some deposit methods may no longer be available.
September 14, 2026 Valutrades states that it will no longer be able to provide customer service to affected clients from this date.

September 14 is therefore an important service-termination date, but it should not be interpreted as the legal closure date of Valutrades itself. Ending trading and customer services does not automatically mean that the company's legal entities will cease to exist on the same date. The notice does not state that Valutrades Limited or Valutrades (Seychelles) Limited will be dissolved or enter liquidation on September 14.

Can You Still Withdraw From Valutrades?

According to Valutrades' service notice, clients can still withdraw funds during the wind-down period, but there is a clear deadline. Deposits and withdrawals will continue to be processed until the end of September 13, 2026. However, recent reports of delayed withdrawals have raised concerns about whether all requests will be completed smoothly before services end.

What Valutrades Says About Withdrawals

Valutrades states that deposits and withdrawals will continue to be processed until the end of September 13, 2026, although some deposit methods may become unavailable before then. The notice does not state that client withdrawals have been suspended.

This means clients are still expected to be able to request their funds during the wind-down period. However, with the deadline approaching, clients with money remaining in their accounts should pay close attention to processing times and avoid leaving withdrawal requests until the final day.

User Reports Delayed Valutrades Withdrawal

Despite Valutrades stating that withdrawals remain available, at least one user has reported a prolonged delay in receiving funds from Valutrades. The user said the withdrawal had remained unpaid for an extended period and that responses received so far had largely consisted of requests to continue waiting.

The report did not disclose the withdrawal amount or exact submission date, and there is currently insufficient evidence to determine the cause of the delay. At this stage, the case should therefore be treated as an individual reported withdrawal delay rather than evidence of widespread withdrawal failures at Valutrades.

What to Do If Your Valutrades Withdrawal Is Pending

If you have already submitted a withdrawal or still hold funds with Valutrades, keep a complete record of your account and withdrawal activity:

  • Save your withdrawal request number, amount and submission date, together with screenshots of its current status.
  • Download your account balance and transaction history while account access remains available.
  • Keep all communications with Valutrades, including emails and customer-support messages.
  • Request a specific reason and estimated processing date if your withdrawal is delayed.
  • Confirm which Valutrades legal entity holds your account, as the applicable regulator and complaint procedure may depend on the entity under which your account was opened.

If a withdrawal remains unpaid beyond the stated processing period, clients should preserve all supporting evidence and consider escalating the matter through Valutrades' formal complaint process and the relevant regulatory or dispute-resolution channel.

Is Valutrades Bankrupt or a Scam?

There is currently no verified evidence that Valutrades has been declared bankrupt, entered liquidation, or been identified as a scam by its regulators. The decision to wind down services is significant, particularly for clients with funds still on the platform, but a broker closing its brokerage operations is not by itself evidence of insolvency or fraud.

As of September 8, 2026, official corporate and regulatory records still show active Valutrades entities. However, the combination of a global service wind-down, approaching withdrawal deadlines and at least one reported withdrawal delay means clients should closely monitor their funds and account status.

Is Valutrades Still Regulated?

Yes. As of September 8, 2026, Valutrades remains listed by both the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA).

In the UK, Valutrades Limited is listed on the FCA Financial Services Register under Firm Reference Number 586541. In Seychelles, Valutrades (Seychelles) Limited remains listed by the FSA as a regulated securities dealer. Valutrades identifies its Seychelles Securities Dealer Licence as SD028.

The Seychelles entity states that customer funds are held in segregated client money accounts in accordance with FSA rules. Segregation is intended to separate client money from the broker's own operating funds, although it should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every withdrawal will be processed immediately or that clients face no risk during a wind-down.

Is Valutrades Bankrupt or in Liquidation?

There is currently no indication in the UK's official corporate register that Valutrades Limited has entered liquidation. Companies House lists VALUTRADES LIMITED, company number 07939901, as “Active”. Its latest accounts cover the financial year ending December 31, 2025, and the company's next accounts are due by September 30, 2027.

This is an important distinction. Valutrades can decide to stop accepting new business and wind down client services without immediately dissolving the company or entering an insolvency procedure. An orderly wind-down may require a legal entity to remain active while it closes positions, processes withdrawals, settles outstanding obligations and completes regulatory requirements.

At the same time, an “Active” Companies House status should not be treated as proof of financial health. It confirms the company's current registration status, not whether every client withdrawal can be paid on time. The key indicators to watch are whether withdrawals continue to be processed, whether regulators announce restrictions or licence changes, and whether any formal insolvency or liquidation filing appears.

Are Client Funds at Valutrades at Risk?

There is not enough evidence at present to conclude that Valutrades client funds are missing or unavailable. Valutrades' service notice states that withdrawals will continue to be processed during the wind-down period, and the Seychelles entity states that client money is held in segregated accounts. However, the reported withdrawal delay means clients should not treat these safeguards as a reason to ignore the approaching service deadlines.

The evidence currently points to a broker winding down its services rather than a confirmed case of bankruptcy or disappearance with client funds. There is also no regulatory finding identified so far declaring Valutrades fraudulent. Nevertheless, clients with remaining balances should monitor withdrawal requests closely, retain account and transaction records, and pay particular attention to any new communication from Valutrades or its regulators.

What Should Valutrades Clients Do Now?

Valutrades clients should act before the service deadlines rather than wait for the wind-down to be completed. The most immediate priorities are managing open positions, withdrawing available funds, and preserving account records in case access to trading or customer support becomes limited.

  • Review and close open positions: Valutrades' notice states that remaining positions are scheduled to be automatically closed at 5:00 p.m. GMT on September 12, 2026. Clients should review their positions beforehand rather than assume an automatic closure will occur at a favorable price.
  • Submit withdrawals as early as possible: The notice states that withdrawals will continue to be processed through September 13. Given the recent report of a delayed withdrawal, clients with funds they intend to withdraw should avoid waiting until the deadline.
  • Download your account records: Save account statements, balance and equity information, deposit and withdrawal histories, and complete trading records while account access remains available.
  • Document any pending withdrawal: Keep screenshots showing the withdrawal amount, submission date, request or transaction ID, current status, and all responses received from Valutrades.
  • Confirm which Valutrades entity holds your account: Check your account agreement or account documents to determine the legal entity you contracted with. This is important because regulatory protections and complaint procedures may differ between Valutrades Limited in the UK and Valutrades (Seychelles) Limited.
  • Escalate unresolved issues promptly: If a withdrawal remains unpaid beyond the stated processing period, submit a formal complaint to Valutrades and retain proof of the complaint. If the issue remains unresolved, clients can then consider approaching the regulator or dispute-resolution mechanism applicable to their account entity.

Most importantly, clients should keep independent copies of all relevant records before customer service changes take effect. If questions later arise over account balances, positions or withdrawals, these records may be essential for establishing what funds were held and what requests were submitted before Valutrades wound down its services.
