Introducing Broker Traders Edge Removed from NFA Membership for Multiple Rule Violations

Jul 31, 2025 BrokersView

The U.S. National Futures Association (NFA) has ordered its member Traders Edge Inc., a registered Introducing Broker (IB) with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), to withdraw from NFA membership and barred the firm from reapplying. The enforcement action follows a formal Complaint filed by the NFA's Business Conduct Committee and a settlement offer submitted by the firm.

Traders Edge, which engaged clients in futures, options, forex, and swaps trading, allegedly in violation of multiple NFA compliance rules. Central to the allegations was that Traders Edge's website displayed misleading and deceptive trading results, presented without deducting commissions and fees, and included profit discussions that lacked equally prominent disclosures regarding loss risk.

The Complaint further alleged that Traders Edge and its employees engaged in deceptive sales solicitations and failed to provide clear fee disclosures to clients prior to beginning trading. Additionally, the firm was accused of insufficient supervision over its operations and staff.

Traders Edge neither admitted nor denied the allegations.

The enforcement underscores the NFA’s ongoing efforts to hold member firms accountable for regulatory breaches and protect investors. In May, the NFA fined OANDA Corporation $600,000 over multiple regulatory breaches. Last month, the NFA warned Futures Commission Merchants (FCMs) and IBs of suspicious account openings, emphasizing risks in onboarding new customers.
