Jody Dunn has announced her departure from IG Group, ending a career spanning nearly 24 years with the UK-listed online trading company.
Dunn joined IG in 2002 as a Sales Trader, when the company had just over 100 employees. Over the next two decades, she held a series of senior leadership positions across dealing, trading, and risk management, including Head of Dealing, Head of Market Risk, and Head of Risk. In 2024, she was promoted to Chief Operating Officer under CEO Breon Corcoran.
During her tenure, Dunn played a key role in overseeing IG's operational and trading functions as the broker expanded from its UK roots into a global FTSE 100 financial services group.
Announcing her departure on LinkedIn, Dunn reflected on her time at the company, thanking colleagues for making IG "a place I wanted to stay" and recalling the firm's transformation from "employee #122" at a small spread betting business into a global online trading broker.
She said she plans to spend the summer travelling with her family in South America before considering her next career move later this year.
Dunn's exit marks the departure of one of IG's longest-serving executives and comes amid a broader leadership reshuffle at the broker, following recent senior appointments including Qu Zhao as Head of Japan. Her successor has not yet been announced.
