
Sportradar Group AG has appointed Breon Corcoran, CEO of IG Group, to its Board of Directors, effective December 11, 2025. Corcoran brings extensive leadership experience in technology-driven, consumer-facing businesses, spanning online trading, fintech, and digital wagering.
Corcoran joined IG Group as CEO in 2024, overseeing strategy and operations for the global trading firm. His prior executive roles include CEO of Zepz (formerly WorldRemit) from 2018 to 2022, and CEO of Paddy Power Betfair plc from 2016 to 2018, where he led the integration of Betfair and Paddy Power and guided the company through a major technology and product transformation. He also served as CEO of Betfair plc from 2012 to 2016.
Beyond executive management, Corcoran held board-level positions, including Chairman of Auction Technology Group from 2022 to 2024. He combines operational expertise with governance experience, giving Sportradar strategic insight as it expands its sports technology offerings.
Corcoran said he looks forward to contributing to Sportradar’s growth and innovation. He highlighted his experience across betting, gaming, and fintech as relevant to the company’s mission and global expansion plans. Sportradar CEO Carsten Koerl noted that Corcoran joins at an exciting time as the company continues to innovate in sports data, technology, and partnerships with major leagues including NBA, UEFA, and FIFA.
Corcoran holds a BA in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin and an MBA from INSEAD. He was recognized as The Sunday Times Business Leader of the Year in 2016. His appointment strengthens Sportradar’s board with deep operational and strategic expertise in both financial and consumer technology sectors.
