
The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has released its quarterly whistleblowing data for the first quarter of 2025, detailing the number of new whistleblowing reports received and existing reports closed between January and March 2025.
According to the data, the FCA received 281 new whistleblowing reports in Q1 2025, a slight decrease from 292 reports in Q4 2024 and 298 reports in Q1 2024. Each report submitted to the FCA contains at least one allegation of wrongdoing, with the 281 reports recorded this quarter comprising a total of 752 allegations.
The majority of reports during this period related to compliance, followed by fitness propriety and consumer detriment.

The FCA lists the top 10 allegations made in whistleblowing reports in Q1 2025.
Additionally, the FCA closed 468 whistleblowing reports during the quarter.
