The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has strengthened its senior leadership bench with the appointment of Arianne M. Collette as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Equities, a newly established role that reflects the firm’s heightened focus on equity-market modernization and long-term growth. She begins on November 17, 2025, and will be based in Jersey City, reporting directly to Val Wotton, Managing Director and Global Head of Equities Solutions.
Collette will oversee the strategic direction of DTCC’s U.S. equities business, guiding initiatives across clearing, settlement, operational resiliency, and infrastructure evolution. Her mandate includes enhancing market stability, improving service delivery for member firms, and spearheading efforts to expand DTCC’s equities capabilities as the sector undergoes rapid structural shifts.
Wotton welcomed the appointment, highlighting Collette’s industry pedigree and leadership track record, noting that her experience will “advance DTCC’s mission to deliver robust, efficient, and future-ready market infrastructure.”
Collette joins DTCC after a 24-year career at Morgan Stanley, where she held a series of high-impact leadership posts across strategy, operations, secured funding, and sales. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Strategy for Reinvestment within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, where she directed firmwide initiatives related to growth, resource deployment, and operational optimization.
Her earlier roles spanned executive leadership positions including Global Head of Sales Strategy, Americas Head of Resource Optimization, and Americas Head of Firm Secured Funding, following a trajectory through fixed income trading, collateral finance, and securities lending. Collette began her career in Morgan Stanley’s technology finance division before transitioning into front-office markets roles.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Collette is the co-founder and global chair of Women in Securities Finance, a prominent industry organization representing more than 1,000 professionals and focused on advancing diversity and career development across global financial markets.
Her arrival represents a pivotal milestone for DTCC as the firm navigates accelerated industry change, regulatory adjustments, and the ongoing modernization of U.S. clearing and settlement processes. Collette is expected to play a central role in shaping the next generation of DTCC’s equities offerings and strengthening the organization’s position as the leading infrastructure provider for U.S. markets.
