DFSA Warns Public of Scam Impersonating Authorised Firm Menhir Capital Management

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has issued a warning about a scam involving the impersonation of a legitimate DFSA Authorised Firm, Menhir Capital Management Limited (the Firm).

According to the regulator, scammers have created a fraudulent website and email address to falsely represent the Firm and mislead members of the public. The fraudulent communications misuse the Firm’s name, DIFC address and DFSA Firm reference number without authorisation.

The DFSA confirmed that the fake website and email address do not belong to Menhir Capital Management Limited. The regulator advised consumers to remain cautious and avoid responding to any communications linked to the scam or transferring funds to any parties associated with it.

The DFSA reminded investors that they should verify the authenticity of any financial firm through its Public Register before engaging with investment service providers. The regulator also encouraged consumers who receive suspicious communications or documents claiming to be issued by a DFSA-regulated entity to report their concerns through the appropriate channels.

The warning forms part of the DFSA’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness of financial scams and protect consumers from fraudulent schemes targeting the reputation of regulated firms.
