Consob Orders Blocking of 8 Unauthorised Crypto Websites in Italy

2026-10-30 By Mark

Consob has ordered the blocking of eight websites providing crypto-asset services to Italian investors without authorisation, according to its October 29 announcement.

The regulator used powers under the MiCAR framework. The action brings its website-blocking total since July 2019 to 1,861, including 250 linked to crypto activities.

This follows BrokersView’s September 18 report on six websites targeted over unauthorised financial or crypto-asset services. That earlier action brought the total to 1,822.

Based on the editor’s website comparison, Valutixitalia, Dashaxid400, Sovriapro, Chainexelonfin and Cardinemodevo share the same logo design and highly similar website templates. Tesorvenza and Smartbitboost also display nearly identical logos and page layouts. These visual similarities alone do not establish common ownership or operation.

Blocking Process and Investor Checks

Italian internet providers are implementing the blocks, which may take several days to become effective.

Consob urges investors to check operators’ authorisation and relevant prospectuses or white papers. It also warns about cloned websites, fake celebrity profiles and AI-generated content used to promote harmful investments.
