Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores Issues Fresh Warnings on Unregistered Institutions
The Spanish financial regulator, CNMV, has published a new set of warnings dated 23 February 2026 concerning multiple entities that are not authorised to provide investment services or conduct activities subject to its supervision.
According to CNMV records, the institutions listed are not registered in the corresponding official registers of the Commission. Consequently, they are not authorised to offer investment services, operate in financial instruments markets, or carry out activities involving crypto-assets in Spain.
The Authority reminds investors that warnings regarding unauthorised entities can be consulted through the dedicated section “Warnings from the CNMV” on its official website. To verify whether an institution is duly registered, investors are encouraged to contact the CNMV’s investor service line at 900 535 015 or use the search engine available on www.cnmv.es.
CNMV also invites the public to report any offers of investment services from unregistered institutions via the official enquiry form or through the infringements communication channel (whistleblowing mechanism). The regulator stresses the importance of vigilance, particularly in cases involving cloned websites, mobile applications promoted via messaging groups, or entities falsely claiming links to legitimate financial firms.
