Spain’s financial markets regulator, the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), has issued a fresh warning against several unregistered and cloned investment platforms that are not authorised to provide investment services in Spain.
According to the CNMV, the entities listed do not appear in the regulator’s official register and therefore cannot legally offer investment or financial services subject to CNMV supervision. Some of the websites have been identified as clones, falsely presenting themselves as legitimate, regulated firms.
The CNMV highlighted that several of the flagged platforms are clone firms, meaning they misuse the name, branding, or registration details of legitimate financial institutions to mislead investors. These clone entities have no legal or operational link to the authorised firms they imitate.
BrokersView strongly advises investors to verify the regulatory status of any investment firm before transferring funds. Investors can consult the CNMV’s warning list and registration search tools via its official website.
