FCA: CCX Capital and Astaria Group Victims Move Closer to Recovering 56% Fraud Losses

2 hours ago By Jane

Victims of the CCX Capital and Astaria Group investment fraud have moved closer to recovering some of their losses after a UK court ordered two convicted fraudsters to repay more than £851,000.

At Least 65 Investors Lost £1.54 Million

Between February 2017 and June 2019, Raymondip Bedi and Patrick Mavanga cold-called consumers and persuaded them to invest in fake cryptoasset opportunities through companies including CCX Capital and Astaria Group LLP.

The FCA said at least 65 investors were defrauded of £1,541,799. For victims, the September 2026 court decision marks a significant recovery step following years of enforcement proceedings.

Court Orders More Than £851,000 Repaid

At Southwark Crown Court on 28 September 2026, Bedi was ordered to pay £603,404.28, while Mavanga must pay £247,997.99 under confiscation orders.

The FCA has identified and contacted victims and said money recovered through the confiscation process will be returned to them. The orders, however, total less than the overall losses reported by the FCA and do not establish that every victim will recover their losses in full.

Bedi and Mavanga were previously sentenced in July 2025 to 5 years 4 months and 6 years 6 months in prison respectively.

What Affected Investors Should Do

Anyone who believes they were affected but has not been contacted should use the FCA Consumer Helpline. Investors should also be cautious of unexpected approaches claiming they can recover investment losses.
