Capital.com announced on November 2, 2026 that its Singapore entity had obtained a Capital Markets Services (CMS) licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). The group also appointed former IG Asia chief executive Tony Lim to lead the business.
The company described the approval as its first local regulatory licence in Southeast Asia. Client onboarding is scheduled to begin in early 2027, according to its official announcement.
The MAS Financial Institutions Directory lists Capital Com Securities (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. as a CMS licensee authorised to deal in securities, collective investment schemes and over-the-counter derivatives contracts. It also lists providing custodial services among the entity’s licensed activities.
The directory names LIM EAN HIEN TONY as chief executive officer.

Lim joins as CEO and executive director, bringing more than 30 years of experience in Singapore’s capital markets, Capital.com said. His previous roles include positions at Singapore Exchange, DBS Vickers Securities and Saxo Capital Markets.
Ahead of launch, the company is preparing identity verification through Singpass MyInfo, full client verification before trading and mandatory two-factor authentication at sign-in. Further details on the Singapore platform and local services will be announced before onboarding opens.
Investors should verify the exact legal entity and its licensed activities before opening an account or transferring funds. Regulatory authorisation does not guarantee investment returns. Leveraged derivatives carry a high risk of loss.
