Pros & Cons
Pros
  • Strong regulatory compliance under the UK's FCA and the UAE's ADGM FSRA (operating as Lunaro), ensuring high-tier fund safety and negative balance protection for retail clients.
  • Access to institutional-grade platforms including MetaTrader 5, CQG, Trading Technologies, and Rithmic, giving traders robust choices for manual and automated strategies.
  • Broad market exposure with over 1,000 tradable instruments spanning forex, CFDs, and exchange-traded futures and options, enabling highly diversified portfolio construction.
  • Comprehensive 24/5 customer support through live chat, email, and direct telephone lines to both client services and the trading desk, ensuring prompt assistance during market hours.
  • Fee-free standard funding methods for SEPA bank transfers and EEA-issued debit/credit card deposits, allowing traders to credit their accounts without unnecessary fee overhead.
Cons
  • Transaction fees on non-EEA card deposits of 1.75% per transfer, making account funding more expensive for international traders operating outside of Europe.
  • Relatively high entry barrier requiring a minimum initial deposit of GBP 250 to activate an account, which may deter beginner retail traders with smaller starting capital.
  • Costly overnight holding fees with markups of up to 3% over benchmark interbank rates on non-forex CFD products, which can heavily erode the profit margins of swing traders.
APM Capital Review Overview

Our APM Capital review provides an objective, in-depth evaluation of the platform's regulatory safety, trading costs, and overall usability. By examining these critical factors, we answer the vital question: is APM Capital a good broker for your personal trading style?

Is APM Capital Legit and Safe?

APM Capital operates as a highly secure, regulated financial services brand under strict regulatory frameworks in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, offering retail and professional clients robust safety assurances under its newly rebranded identity, Lunaro.

APM Capital review

What Is APM Capital? Company Background

APM Capital was originally founded in 2021 by entrepreneur Disha Rajdev as a specialized CFD and forex brokerage firm based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates [1]. In late 2025, the company underwent a major rebranding to operate globally under the name Lunaro. This corporate evolution united two major branches: its Middle Eastern base, now formally registered as Lunaro Markets Limited, and its UK-regulated entity, Lunaro Financial Services Limited. The UK arm was established after APM Capital acquired BUX UK (the FCA-regulated neobroker division of BUX) in 2024, paving the way for a unified global brand. Led by experienced industry veteran Nick Spencer-Skeen as Senior Executive Officer, the broker focuses on providing transparent execution, institutional-grade trading infrastructure, and a broad catalog of over 1,000 instruments.

APM Capital Regulation

APM Capital is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority. These regulatory bodies are classified as top-tier, strict financial authorities that enforce rigorous operational standards on all licensed firms. You can check the FCA official register to verify APM Capital's license status by searching register number 184333. Additionally, you can search the ADGM FSRA official register under license number 200034 to confirm the broker's active regulatory compliance in the United Arab Emirates.

The following table details the regulatory status, licensing authorities, and specific investor protections offered under each active branch of the brokerage:

Entity NameRegulatorLicense NumberRegulatory TierInvestor Protection
Lunaro Financial Services Limited (UK)Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)184333Tier 1 (Very High)Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £85,000, segregated client accounts, negative balance protection
Lunaro Markets Limited (UAE)Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA)200034Tier 2 (High)Segregated client accounts (FSRA COBS rules), negative balance protection for retail, independent dispute resolution

Traders registered under the UK FCA entity benefit from robust statutory deposit insurance via the FSCS, whereas those registered under the ADGM FSRA entity operate within a highly competitive, tax-optimized hub specifically built for Middle Eastern and international markets.

Which APM Capital Entity Serves Your Region?

  • UK and European clients are onboarded under the FCA-regulated entity — this legal structure ensures access to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), protecting up to £85,000 per trader in the event of insolvency.
  • Middle Eastern and international traders are registered under the FSRA-regulated Abu Dhabi branch — this ensures compliance with regional regulations while offering negative balance protection to protect retail accounts from going below zero.
  • Onboarding processes require rigorous Know Your Customer (KYC) verification — traders must submit official government-issued identification and proof of residency before making deposits or opening live positions.
  • Unlike offshore brokers with lax requirements, APM Capital does not offer unregulated, offshore onboarding — this legal structure eliminates the high risks associated with non-segregated client funds often found with brokers based in unmonitored islands.

Restricted Countries

  • United States residents are strictly excluded from opening accounts — this restriction is driven by local CFTC regulations that prohibit overseas brokers from offering leveraged OTC derivatives to retail US citizens.
  • Traders residing in heavily sanctioned nations cannot be onboarded — these jurisdictions include North Korea, Iran, Syria, and Cuba, in compliance with international anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) mandates.
  • Local regulatory limitations prevent service in certain global jurisdictions — regions with strict capital controls or specialized licensing requirements, such as Canada, may also face partial or total onboarding restrictions depending on the entity.

Client Fund Protection

Client fund protection at APM Capital remains high due to strict structural safeguards enforced by its regulatory bodies.

  • Segregated Bank Accounts: All retail client deposits are held in separate bank accounts at reputable Tier-1 banking institutions, completely segregated from the broker's operating capital. This guarantees that the broker cannot use customer funds to cover its own operational overhead or pay off creditors in the event of bankruptcy.
  • Negative Balance Protection: Retail traders are covered by automatic negative balance protection. Under this policy, volatile market movements cannot push a trader's account balance below zero, capping maximum potential losses strictly to the total amount deposited.
  • Regulatory Auditing: The broker's financial statements and client money handling practices are subject to frequent third-party audits to verify ongoing compliance with FCA CASS and ADGM FSRA client money rules.

APM Capital User Reviews and Trustpilot Rating

Lunaro (operating formerly as APM Capital) holds a Trustpilot rating of 4.1/5 based on 5 reviews, reflecting positive but highly limited user feedback as of July 2026. Because the corporate transition from APM Capital to the Lunaro brand is still relatively recent, the broker has a very small footprint of public reviews on mainstream forums, making overall user sentiment appear positive yet largely unestablished.

When analyzing feedback from active traders across current and legacy brand discussions, several themes emerge:

  • Efficient Trading Infrastructure: Users frequently praise the broker's stable execution speeds and seamless access to MetaTrader 5 and other advanced derivatives trading systems.
  • Professional Account Management: Traders note that customer support is highly professional, with account managers providing prompt assistance during onboarding and technical setups.

However, users also report some recurring complaints:

  • Brand Migration Confusion: A common grievance among clients relates to the frequent name and operational shifts—migrating from BUX Markets to APM Capital and finally to Lunaro—which has created administrative confusion.
  • Limited Community History: Some traders express hesitation due to the lack of widespread public reviews and community discussion, making it difficult to assess peers' long-term experiences with withdrawals or high-volume slippage.

For real-time updates and direct client testimonials, traders can See APM Capital reviews on Trustpilot to gauge how the brand’s community reputation continues to develop.

APM Capital Account Types

APM Capital tailors its tiered account structures to accommodate both casual retail participants and high-volume professional clients, though its strict lack of Shariah-compliant alternatives may alienate swap-free traders.

APM Capital Account Types and Minimum Deposit Requirements

To cater to different styles and experience levels, APM Capital offers three main tiers: the Standard Account, the Pro Account, and the Elite Account. Rather than enforcing a rigid, one-size-fits-all model, the broker leverages these tiers to align pricing directly with capital commitments and monthly trading volumes. For retail clients, leverage is limited to 1:30 for major currency pairs in compliance with FCA regulations, while professional accounts under the ADGM entity can access higher leverage ratios up to 1:100 depending on the underlying asset.

The practical implications of these account tiers, their entry barriers, and their pricing structures include:

  • The Standard Account requires no minimum deposit — this zero-dollar entry barrier makes the broker highly accessible to beginner retail traders who wish to test the live market environment with micro-lots without risking significant capital.
  • The Pro Account is unlocked with a $5,000 minimum deposit — this intermediate tier is designed for seasoned day traders who require tighter spreads on high-liquidity currency pairs and are comfortable with a mid-tier funding commitment.
  • The Elite Account requires a steep $10,000 minimum deposit — this premium tier is optimized for high-volume traders, institutional clients, and algorithmic traders who require direct market access, institutional execution speeds, and maximum volume discounts.
  • Commission fees are waived on most major CFD products, excluding shares — this spread-only model on Standard accounts simplifies cost calculations, whereas stock CFDs incur localized charges, such as a $0.02 per share commission (with a $1.00 minimum fee) for US-listed equities.

For retail traders, the choice between these accounts involves a clear trade-off between upfront capital and long-term trading costs. The Standard Account is commission-free but features slightly wider spreads starting from 0.7 pips on major pairs like EUR/USD. In contrast, the Pro and Elite accounts offer significantly narrower spreads approaching raw-market levels, making them far more cost-effective for high-frequency scalpers and automated trading systems that are sensitive to microscopic price movements.

Does APM Capital Offer an Islamic Account?

APM Capital does not offer swap-free or Islamic accounts under either its UK FCA-regulated entity or its ADGM-regulated branches in the UAE. All live trading accounts are automatically subject to daily rollover or swap fees when open positions are held past the daily market close. Because there is no administrative fee mechanism available to replace or waive these interest-based financing costs, the broker is entirely unsuitable for traders seeking strict Shariah-compliant trading setups.

APM Capital Fees and Trading Costs

APM Capital's pricing sits in the mid-range compared to similar retail CFD brokers, offering commission-free forex trading with spreads starting at 0.7 pips but applying standard 0.50% currency conversion markups and monthly inactivity charges.

APM Capital Trading Fees (Spreads / Commission Fees / Swap and Overnight Fees)

Trading costs at APM Capital are divided into spreads and commission structures depending on the asset class being traded. For forex pairs, indices, and major commodities, the broker utilizes a commission-free model where all trading costs are consolidated directly into the spread markup. For equity CFDs and advanced futures derivatives, a transparent per-trade commission is charged instead.

The practical breakdown of these trading fees includes:

  • Spreads on the EUR/USD pair start at 0.7 pips on the Standard account — this competitive spread minimizes entry and exit costs for casual retail traders using standard commission-free trading.
  • US share CFDs carry an execution charge of $0.02 per share — this commission includes a $1.00 minimum transaction fee per trade, making it highly cost-effective for medium to large stock positions.
  • UK and European share CFDs incur a 0.10% notional commission — a £1.00 or €1.00 minimum applies to prevent small, fractional equity trades from being heavily penalized by fixed charges.
  • Overnight swap rates are updated weekly based on central bank benchmark interest rates — this means long and short rollover charges fluctuate dynamically according to market conditions, with triple swaps charged on Wednesdays to cover the weekend.

APM Capital Non-Trading Fees (Inactivity Fees / Currency Conversion Fees)

In addition to direct execution costs, traders should remain aware of non-trading charges that can affect dormant or multi-currency accounts. These administrative fees are industry-standard but require careful management to prevent unnecessary capital erosion.

The broker charges an inactivity fee of 10 units of the account's base currency (such as $10, £10, or €10) monthly if an account remains dormant with no trading activity for a sustained period of six consecutive months. This fee only applies if there is a remaining positive balance on the account; if the account balance reaches zero, the fee is automatically waived and will never drive the account into a negative balance.

Additionally, a currency conversion fee of 0.50% is applied as an exchange rate markup when executing trades in an asset denominated in a currency different from the account's base currency. For example, if a trader holds a GBP-denominated account but buys US-listed equities denominated in USD, the platform automatically applies the 0.50% markup to the conversion rate during trade settlement.

APM Capital Deposits & Withdrawals (Deposit and Withdrawal Methods / Withdrawal Speed and Minimum Limits / Deposit and Withdrawal Fees / Withdrawal Issues and User Complaints)

APM Capital provides a transparent, commission-free payment gateway supporting instant card deposits and traditional bank wires, though standard international wire transfers require up to five business days to clear.

Funding your trading account can be executed easily using Visa or Mastercard credit and debit cards, as well as international bank wires (Telegraphic Transfers). While card deposits are credited to the trading account instantly, traditional bank wires typically require one to three business days to clear depending on the sending bank. To comply with strict international anti-money laundering regulations, third-party funding is strictly prohibited; all deposited funds must originate from a bank account or card registered in the exact name of the APM Capital account holder.

When withdrawing funds, requests submitted before 12:30 PM UK time are processed by the broker’s treasury department on the same business day, whereas any requests received after 12:30 PM are processed the following business day. Once processed, card withdrawals generally clear within two business days, while international bank wires can take three to five business days to credit your personal bank account.

APM Capital does not charge any deposit or withdrawal fees directly. However, traders should note that intermediate bank networks and receiving financial institutions may impose their own telegraphic transfer or conversion fees, which are beyond the broker’s control. While there are no rigid minimum deposit limits enforced on the Standard account, a practical withdrawal minimum of $50 is highly recommended for wire transfers to prevent intermediary bank charges from consuming a significant portion of the withdrawn capital.

A thorough review of recent user feedback and regulatory portals reveals no systemic withdrawal complaints or unresolved payout issues. The broker maintains a highly structured, compliant payout pipeline that executes transactions strictly within its promised windows, provided that the client has successfully completed all necessary KYC verification requirements.

APM Capital Trading Platforms, Conditions & Experience

APM Capital delivers a sophisticated multi-asset trading environment powered by the advanced MetaTrader 5 platform alongside institutional-grade CQG and Trading Technologies gateways, ensuring rapid market access and highly reliable order execution.

Does APM Capital Support MT4, MT5 & Mobile Trading?

APM Capital relies exclusively on MetaTrader 5 and high-performance institutional platforms for retail and professional execution, deliberately bypassing the older MetaTrader 4 engine. By committing fully to MetaTrader 5 (MT5), the broker provides a modern, multi-asset foundation that accommodates advanced charting and automated trading scripts.

The core characteristics of the broker's platform ecosystem include:

  • The MetaTrader 5 platform is the primary software for retail trading — it provides advanced technical indicators, 21 distinct timeframes, and native algorithmic trading capabilities utilizing MQL5.
  • Professional-tier platforms like Trading Technologies (TT) and CQG are fully integrated — these gateways are designed for institutional traders executing exchange-listed futures and options.
  • The proprietary ARK platform offers alternative access for DMA trading — this software operates alongside the MT5 ecosystem, serving clients who focus on direct market access execution.
  • Native mobile apps are available for both iOS and Android devices — this enables traders to monitor open positions, analyze charts, and manage account funding on the go.
  • No support is provided for the legacy MetaTrader 4 software — the broker has phased out MT4 in favor of MT5's superior multi-asset infrastructure and faster processing capabilities.

What Can You Trade on APM Capital? (markets and instruments)

APM Capital offers clients direct trading access to over 1,000 multi-asset instruments spanning forex, indices, commodities, and exchange-traded futures. This extensive portfolio makes it easy for retail and professional traders to build highly diversified global portfolios.

  • Tradable asset classes: forex, index CFDs, spot metals, energy CFDs, CME Group futures, exchange-traded options.

The structural details of these available asset classes include:

  • The forex offering spans over 40 major, minor, and exotic currency pairs — traders can access competitive liquidity on popular pairs like EUR/USD and GBP/USD with tight pricing.
  • Direct Market Access (DMA) and Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETDs) are natively integrated — professional clients can execute CME Group contracts directly on the centralized exchange ledger.
  • The selection of commodity CFDs covers key global energies and precious metals — this includes spot Gold (XAU/USD), Silver (XAG/USD), Brent Crude Oil, and US WTI Oil.
  • Global equity indices are available as leveraged CFDs — this provides direct, low-cost exposure to major market baskets, including the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, DAX 40, and FTSE 100.

APM Capital Leverage, Margin & Order Execution

APM Capital executes trades using a highly advanced liquidity aggregation model with leverage restrictions strictly aligned with regional regulatory guidelines. Because the broker operates under top-tier jurisdictions, leverage caps are strictly managed to balance trading power with capital protection.

The parameters governing leverage, margin, and order execution include:

  • Retail leverage is capped at a strict 1:30 maximum under FCA jurisdiction — this limit is designed to insulate retail clients from high-risk exposure during periods of extreme market volatility.
  • Professional and ADGM-registered accounts can qualify for leverage up to 1:100 — this elevated margin model is reserved for experienced traders who satisfy rigorous regulatory criteria.
  • Execution latency is minimized via advanced institutional bridges — utilizing Tools for Brokers' Trade Processor, order routing and liquidity aggregation averages a swift 4 milliseconds.
  • Margin calls are triggered automatically at a 100% margin level — if an account's margin level falls to 50%, the platform initiates automatic position stop-outs to protect the account from negative balances.

APM Capital Research Tools & Educational Resources

APM Capital provides a standard array of essential market calendars and calculation tools, though its structured educational content is less extensive than that of education-centric retail brokers. The broker targets intermediate and professional traders who typically have their own research pipelines.

The educational and analytical tools available to clients include:

  • The broker offers cloud-based virtual private server (VPS) hosting directly via MQL5 — this enables automated expert advisors (EAs) to run 24/7 with zero lag or terminal interruptions.
  • Basic trading calculators and an interactive economic calendar are accessible on the main portal — these tools help traders track core global macroeconomic announcements and calculate margin requirements before opening trades.
  • Structured educational curricula and daily live webinars are largely absent — traders looking for comprehensive step-by-step masterclasses may need to rely on external training materials, as the broker does not host an extensive learning academy.

How Good Is APM Capital Customer Support?

APM Capital provides highly responsive, localized 24/5 customer support through phone, email, and live portal inquiries managed from its primary regulated offices in Abu Dhabi and London. The support team is staffed by professional market representatives rather than automated chatbots, ensuring clear, technical communication.

The primary support channels and parameters include:

  • Direct phone lines are maintained in key regulatory hubs — clients can reach desk representatives in Abu Dhabi at +971 26759400 and via localized London contact numbers.
  • Inquiries sent via email are addressed within a 24-hour turnaround window — hello@lunaro.com serves as the central hub for general support, technical troubleshooting, and funding concerns.
  • Client assistance is strictly scheduled on a 24/5 basis — customer support teams operate alongside global market hours, closing over the weekend when forex and CFD markets are dormant.

Who Is APM Capital Best For?

APM Capital is best suited for experienced, regulation-focused day traders and institutional clients who prioritize strict compliance and institutional-grade platforms over low-budget retail perks.

Is APM Capital Good for Regulation-Focused Professional Traders?

APM Capital is an exceptional choice for regulation-focused professional traders who require top-tier regulatory compliance and direct market access to global futures exchanges. The dual-licensed framework under the FCA and ADGM FSRA offers institutional-grade safety, guaranteeing that client funds are heavily segregated and held in reputable Tier-1 banking channels. Crucially, the platform’s integration of professional execution software like CQG and Trading Technologies (TT) alongside direct CME Group clearing allows money managers and professional derivatives traders to operate on centralized exchanges, bypassing the standard conflicts of interest associated with unregulated retail-only brokers.

Is APM Capital Good for Day Traders?

APM Capital is highly effective for active day traders who rely on fast execution speeds, multi-asset diversification, and robust technical analysis software. Day traders benefit directly from the broker’s rapid 4-millisecond order routing, which is powered by advanced liquidity aggregators that dramatically minimize slippage during volatile sessions. The inclusion of MetaTrader 5 further ensures that day traders can easily run custom algorithmic scripts, deploy automated expert advisors, and monitor complex multi-timeframe charts while navigating over 1,000 tradable assets to capture intraday price swings.

Is APM Capital Good for Beginners?

APM Capital is moderately suitable for beginner traders, offering an accessible zero-minimum deposit Standard account but lacking the comprehensive educational resources found at major retail-centric competitors. While beginners will appreciate the ability to fund their Standard accounts with no initial minimums, allowing them to test real market conditions with micro-lots at their own pace, the platform presents a steep learning curve. The complete absence of a structured educational academy, video guides, and demo-only walkthroughs—combined with a strict lack of swap-free Islamic accounts—means that self-directed novice traders must source their educational training and risk-management principles from external providers.

Best for: Regulation-conscious professional traders, multi-asset day traders, and institutional futures participants.
Less ideal for: Absolute beginners requiring structured educational academies, and swap-free Islamic accounts.

Compare APM Capital with Other Popular Brokers

APM Capital faces fierce competition from premier global brokerages, standing out for its advanced institutional futures integration despite trailing competitors in raw-retail spread discounts.

APM Capital vs ADSS

APM Capital offers far superior access to exchange-traded derivatives and advanced institutional software, whereas ADSS focuses primarily on regional OTC retail markets with a highly customized proprietary interface.

While both firms maintain deep roots in the United Arab Emirates under strict regulatory licenses, APM Capital's dual FCA and FSRA ADGM oversight offers a more robust international safety net compared to the predominantly UAE-centric regulation of ADSS. Regarding entry requirements, APM Capital demands no minimum deposit on its Standard account; conversely, its regional rival requires a $100 starting balance for basic accounts. Furthermore, APM Capital relies on industry-standard MetaTrader 5 alongside CQG and Trading Technologies for execution; on the other hand, the local competitor utilizes a custom-built, beginner-friendly platform that lacks support for advanced CME exchange contracts.

Takeaway: APM Capital is the better choice for institutional futures and MT5 algorithms; ADSS suits regional retail investors seeking localized Middle Eastern assets.

APM Capital vs Pepperstone

APM Capital provides specialized access to CME Group futures and options on institutional platforms, while Pepperstone excels in low-cost retail raw spreads and extensive social copy-trading integration.

Pepperstone is regulated across multiple tier-1 jurisdictions including ASIC, CySEC, and FCA, establishing an incredibly broad global footprint that outpaces APM Capital’s tighter UK and UAE dual-regulatory focus. In terms of trading costs, the Australian broker's Razor account offers raw spreads starting from 0.0 pips paired with a competitive per-lot commission; on the other hand, APM Capital's Standard account features commission-free trades but holds wider spreads starting from 0.7 pips. Additionally, the competitor fully supports third-party copy trading platforms like DupliTrade and Myfxbook, whereas APM Capital provides no automated social trading alternatives.

Takeaway: APM Capital is the better choice for professional derivatives traders utilizing CQG; Pepperstone suits active retail scalpers looking for razor-thin spreads and copy-trading tools.

APM Capital vs IC Markets

APM Capital caters to professional clients with multi-platform institutional liquidity connections, whereas IC Markets delivers much lower execution fees and massive liquidity pools designed specifically for high-frequency retail scalpers.

For high-frequency algorithmic traders, IC Markets offers raw spreads averaging 0.1 pips on EUR/USD with a small $3.50 per-side commission, presenting a vastly cheaper fee structure than the spreads starting at 0.7 pips at APM Capital. The Australian broker requires a $200 minimum deposit across all accounts; by contrast, APM Capital has completely removed the entry barrier on its Standard account to attract casual retail participants. Furthermore, the competitor's software catalog focuses heavily on MT4, MT5, and cTrader, whereas APM Capital distinguishes itself by extending past standard CFD terminals into specialized exchange portals like Rithmic and ARK.

Takeaway: APM Capital is the better choice for traders seeking diversified exchange-cleared products; IC Markets suits high-volume retail day traders and automated scalpers.

APM Capital Broker Quick Verdict

APM Capital is a solid choice for professional traders seeking secure FCA and FSRA regulatory oversight, though its lack of swap-free accounts and copy-trading tools may deter retail beginners. Ultimately, as detailed in our APM Capital review, the broker's institutional platform integration and direct access to CME Group futures establish it as a premier hub for serious, high-volume derivatives traders.

Editorial Transparency: This APM Capital review is based on information from the official APM Capital website, current regulatory filings, and independent third-party sources such as Trustpilot. We cross-checked the broker's regulation and license details, account types, trading and non-trading fees, deposit and withdrawal terms, platforms, and real user feedback to ensure accuracy and objectivity. This content is for educational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice; trading CFDs carries a high risk of losing money. Last updated: July 2026.
