ANSWER Dear Investor,
We recommend contacting CentFX customer support to learn about the features of their mobile app.
CentFX claims to be registered with the Anguilla Commercial Registry (ACORN) and regulated by the Mauritius Financial Services Commission (FSC). Firstly, we located the entity information in ACORN; however, ACORN only provides International Business Company (IBC) registration and does not regulate derivatives trading such as forex and CFDs. While the Mauritius FSC also lists the company and regulates forex activities, it has not registered CentFX's operational website. Consequently, we cannot fully verify the authenticity of this regulatory information. Furthermore, the Mauritius FSC is an offshore regulator with relatively lenient oversight.
CentFX also claims to have registered a company, CENT FX FINANCING BROKER L.L.C, in the UAE. However, this company is not registered as a licensed entity by the official regulator, the UAE Capital Markets Authority (UAE CMA). It is highly likely that they have not obtained local authorization, so please be aware of this risk. Therefore, even though the entity appears to hold a license, investors should remain vigilant, as regulatory status alone does not guarantee full compliance or eliminate the risk of misconduct.
