3 hours ago BrokersView

Financial regulators across multiple jurisdictions issued fresh warnings against 23 unauthorized investment platforms during the week of July 20–26, 2026, highlighting the continued rise of online investment and crypto-related scams.

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) accounted for the majority of the warnings, flagging 15 firms suspected of providing financial services without authorization. Meanwhile, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), the British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC), and the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) also added new names to their investor alert lists.

Unauthorized brokers often claim to offer forex, CFDs, cryptocurrencies, or high-yield investment opportunities while operating without regulatory approval. Many lure investors through social media, messaging apps, or fake investment websites, making fund recovery extremely difficult once money has been transferred.

Before opening an account or depositing funds, investors should always verify whether a broker is licensed by a reputable financial regulator. If a platform appears on an official warning list, investors should avoid it and refrain from sending any money.
