Trader's Funds Locked on Counterfeit GO Markets After Falling for Telegram-Facilitated Scam Pattern

1 hour ago BrokersView

A trader from India recently submitted a complaint to BrokersView, reporting that he was unable to withdraw funds from what he believed to be GO Markets. Upon investigation, it became clear that he had fallen victim to a counterfeit platform impersonating GO Markets, a legitimate broker.

According to the complaint, the trader opened an account on https://pc.gomarketsusvp.cc/#/ and deposited funds. When he attempted to withdraw his balance, the platform, operating in tandem with a Telegram channel, claimed his account had a “security risk” and demanded an additional $5,000 to “normalize” it.

The trader stated that all fund transfers were coordinated through this Telegram channel. He was instructed to send money to multiple designated accounts. Realizing this was likely a scam, he is now seeking assistance.

Poor Impersonation of GO Markets

The domain gomarketsusvp.cc is not affiliated with GO Markets’ official website, https://www.gomarkets.com. The fake site misuses GO Markets’ name and logo to deceive traders into believing it is a legitimate trading platform.

The site mimics the layout of real trading interfaces, displaying currency pair prices, charts, and basic navigation. However, it lacks essential elements such as company information, regulatory disclosures, and functional features beyond “Login” and “Register.”

In reality, it is a shoddy page, offering no genuine trading services.

Telegram Fraud Pattern Exposed

No legitimate investment provider onboards clients or accepts fund transfers via Telegram. Scammers often initially lure victims into Telegram or WhatsApp groups using ads. “Group members” showcase fake “daily profits” or “exclusive signals,” then direct victims to fraudulent platforms that simulate trading activity but do not actually execute trades.

Victims are typically instructed to deposit funds into personal or mule accounts controlled by the scammers. The trading interface merely displays fabricated balances and profits to maintain the illusion of credibility.

In this case, the complainant's account dashboard shows available funds as 18303.6, but he can’t withdraw them at all.

BrokersView Reminder

This complaint reflects such a textbook fraud case, complete with impersonation, a fake platform, and social media manipulation. In September, we exposed a similar GO Markets impersonation scam in which an Ahmedabad couple lost over ₹10.8 million via Telegram, directed to gomrktsusm.com.
