NZ FMA Flags Multiple Online Trading Platforms Over Unsolicited Investment Offers and Withheld Funds

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) of New Zealand has issued a public warning regarding Bitmart VIP (bitgetprime.com) following a complaint from an investor who received an unsolicited investment offer and is now unable to withdraw funds.

 

The FMA confirmed that Bitmart VIP is not registered on the Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR) and is therefore unauthorized to offer financial products or services in New Zealand.

 

The regulator urges the public to exercise caution when approached with unsolicited financial offers, and to always verify whether an entity is properly licensed before engaging.

 

Investigations revealed that the scam is being operated through multiple duplicate websites, using similar or nearly identical designs and content under a different name. One such site was found to impersonate XTB, a well-known brokerage firm.
