IG Group has named Andrew Biggs as its new Trading Director, the company announced. In this role, Biggs will oversee the optimisation and growth of IG’s trading operations.
Biggs joins IG from Finalto Trading, where he served as CEO. He previously held senior roles including Group Head of Risk and Trading, Head of Liquidity and Systematic Market Making at Finalto and its predecessor, CFH Clearing. Earlier in his career, he worked at IS Prime Limited as Head of Liquidity and Risk Analysis.
The appointment follows IG’s earlier announcement of Andrew Barron as Board Chair Designate, succeeding Mike McTighe, who retired in September 2025.
IG Group has officially closed its operational office in Sandton, South Africa, and laid off local staff on February, 2026. But it holds licenses in several other countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia.
