On December 9, Spain's National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) placed forex broker IFC Markets on its public warning list, describing the broker as an “unregistered firm”.
The regulator issued the warning under Spain's Securities Market and Investment Services Act, stating that IFC Markets (IFCMARKETS.CORP) is not authorized to provide investment services or concuct such activities, including foreign exchange trading.
CFD broker IFC Markets holds financial services licenses issued by the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission (BVI FSC) and Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA), but is not regulated in Spain or other European countries.
