FINMA Warns Against Unregistered Websites and Clone Firms
Switzerland’s Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) has issued warnings against several websites suspected of operating without registration and, in some cases, impersonating authorised Swiss financial institutions.
FINMA noted that several of the identified websites have no entry in the Swiss Commercial Register and are not connected with the legitimate companies whose names they allegedly use. The regulator reminded investors to verify the identity and registration status of any financial service provider before engaging with investment offers.
