eToro US Head Andrew McCormick Steps Down After 4.5 Years

قبل 12 ساعة BrokersView

Andrew McCormick has stepped down as Head of eToro US, ending a four-and-a-half-year tenure with the social trading and investing platform. He joined eToro in 2022 as US Senior Counsel before being promoted to lead the broker’s US operations in 2024, following the departure of former US CEO Lule Demmissie.

eToro confirmed that Alain Tennekoon, currently Head of Operations and Service for the broker’s US business, will assume McCormick’s responsibilities and oversee the company's US operations moving forward.

Before joining eToro, McCormick held senior legal and regulatory roles at Morgan Stanley and E*TRADE, focusing on regulatory investigations, litigation, compliance, and retail brokerage matters. He also spent more than six years with Eversheds Sutherland.

During his time at eToro, McCormick played a key role in navigating US regulatory requirements across both traditional investment products and digital assets while helping scale the broker’s US business. Reflecting on his departure, he described his time at eToro as an “unforgettable adventure” and thanked colleagues for their passion, integrity, and support.

His exit comes amid a broader wave of executive changes across the online brokerage and fintech sectors in 2026, while Tennekoon's appointment ensures continuity for eToro's US operations as the company continues to expand its presence in the market.
