Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission Issues Investor Warning on Unauthorised Websites

Feb 26, 2026 BrokersView

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has issued a public warning to inform investors that a number of websites are not owned or operated by entities authorised to provide investment services or perform investment activities in Cyprus.

Under Article 5 of Law 87(I)/2017, only firms that have obtained the appropriate authorisation from CySEC are permitted to offer investment services and conduct regulated investment activities within or from Cyprus. Any entity operating without such authorisation is acting in breach of the applicable regulatory framework and may expose investors to significant financial risks.

According to the announcement, the following websites are not associated with any CySEC-authorised investment firm:

Platform

Website

deumarket.com

crowd-base.com

velorato.com

 /

xt-blimited.com

 /

CySEC stresses that investors should exercise particular caution when dealing with online platforms that promote trading opportunities, investment packages, or financial products without clearly displaying valid regulatory information. Unauthorised websites may falsely claim regulation, use misleading contact details, or provide insufficient corporate transparency in order to create a false impression of legitimacy.

The Commission strongly urges investors to verify the licensing status of any investment firm before transferring funds or sharing personal and financial information.

BrokersView reminds you that conducting proper due diligence prior to entering into any investment arrangement remains one of the most effective safeguards against unauthorised operators and potential fraud.
