Spain's National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has issued new warnings against 10 entities suspected of offering investment services without authorization. The regulator said none of the entities are registered with the CNMV and therefore are not permitted to provide investment services or conduct other regulated financial activities in Spain.
Among the latest warnings is a cloned website operating under the name Altura Algo, which the CNMV said has no connection with Indication Investments Ltd, an investment firm authorized to provide services in Spain under the European Economic Area passporting regime.
The CNMV reminded investors to verify whether a firm is authorized before investing and encouraged the public to report suspected unauthorized investment offers through its official reporting channels. The regulator also maintains an online database of warned entities to help investors identify potentially fraudulent platforms.
