CMC Markets Appoints Andreas Lipkow as Chief Market Analyst in Frankfurt

CMC Markets has strengthened its Frankfurt team with the appointment of Andreas Lipkow as Chief Market Analyst for the DACH region, effective immediately. Lipkow brings more than 30 years of market experience and will provide regular market commentary and analysis for CMC Markets’ clients.

Based in Frankfurt, Lipkow will focus on analysing global financial markets, including equities, currencies, cryptocurrencies, commodities, bonds, and indices, with a strong emphasis on both fundamental and technical analysis. His expertise also extends to algorithmic trading and market digitalisation, areas that have become increasingly relevant for active traders.

Lipkow joins CMC Markets from comdirect, where he spent nearly a decade in a similar market-facing role. Earlier in his career, he served as Managing Director of a proprietary asset management firm specialising in computer-based trading systems, overseeing the development of fully automated strategies.

A well-known figure in Germany’s capital markets, Lipkow is a frequent media commentator and public speaker. He hosts a regular market podcast, runs a YouTube channel focused on trading and investing, and lectures at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. In 2024, he published his first book on long-term investment strategies.

Christine Romar, Head of Europe at CMC Markets, said the appointment underlines the company’s focus on education, market insight, and client support, as it continues to position itself as a multi-asset broker.
