CFI Financial Group has launched operations in Colombia and appointed Simon Knudson as Country Manager, marking another step in the broker’s Latin American expansion strategy.
The move follows authorization from Colombia’s Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC), allowing CFI Colombia S.A.S to establish a representative office in the country. Operating from Bogotá, the company will offer local clients access to multiple financial instruments supported by the group’s trading technology and execution infrastructure.
Knudson will lead the broker’s local operations and market development efforts in Colombia. According to the company, the expansion is aimed at strengthening CFI’s position in high-growth Latin American markets, where retail participation in financial trading continues to increase alongside improving digital infrastructure.
CFI CEO Ziad Melhem said the company continues to see strong momentum across Latin America, driven by growing investor interest and a new generation of digitally focused traders.
The Colombia launch adds to CFI’s broader international expansion efforts, with the group continuing to grow its presence across MENA, Africa, and Latin America while focusing on localized operations and regional leadership.
