CFI Financial Group has appointed Michael O’Sullivan as Senior Technology Advisor, bringing an experienced technology executive into a strategic advisory role as the broker continues to scale its global infrastructure.
O’Sullivan, who is based in London, will advise CFI’s executive leadership on technology governance, platform resilience, and operational processes across regions. The role is designed to support long-term systems planning and strengthen coordination as the group expands its multi-market operations.
The appointment follows O’Sullivan’s departure from Hantec Markets, where he most recently served as Chief Technology Officer. During his time at Hantec, he was responsible for overseeing technology development across both the brokerage and its proprietary trading arm, Hantec Trader, with a focus on platform stability and internal systems alignment.
Prior to Hantec, O’Sullivan held the CTO position at INFINOX, where he led the delivery of the broker’s multi-asset trading platform and supported its international growth. His earlier career includes senior technology and project leadership roles at ATFX UK and a long tenure at CMC Markets, where he worked on partnerships and platform-related initiatives over more than a decade.
CFI’s decision to bring in a senior advisor with deep sector experience comes amid broader changes to its technology leadership structure. The firm has recently added Vivek Mehta as Chief Technology Officer, signalling an increased focus on strengthening internal systems, governance frameworks, and operational scalability.
O’Sullivan’s background across multiple FX and CFD brokers positions him to provide practical, execution-focused guidance as CFI continues to develop its technology stack and support expansion across regulated markets.
