Bitget Blocks 150 Million Cyber Threats as AI-Driven Crypto Scams Surge
Crypto exchange Bitget has launched its third annual Anti-Scam Month with a new report from SlowMist warning of increasingly sophisticated fraud targeting digital asset users.
The report said Bitget intercepted more than 150 million malicious requests, identified over 13,000 high-risk IP addresses, and helped recover $32.3 million linked to security incidents between 2025 and 2026.
It highlighted growing threats including AI-generated investment personas, deepfake videos, voice-cloning scams, fake investment communities, phishing attacks, and wallet-draining operations.
Bitget said scammers are now combining social engineering, AI technology, and multi-platform campaigns to target users across cryptocurrencies and tokenised assets, making security awareness more important than ever.
