Belgium's FSMA Warns Against Unauthorised Financial Activities of Cédric Bergans

4 hours ago BrokersView

Belgium's Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) has warned the public against the financial activities of Cédric Bergans, stating that he is not authorised to provide regulated financial products or services in Belgium.

According to the regulator, Bergans, who also operated under the trading name BC Edufin Academy, appears to have offered investment advice and services while collecting money from consumers without the required authorisation. The FSMA said his websites, which are now offline, also promoted financial coaching and forex trading courses.

The regulator further noted that Bergans advertised training related to forex trading, reminding consumers that the distribution of such products is prohibited in Belgium. It also cautioned against participation in pyramid schemes, highlighting both the risk of financial losses and potential criminal liability for participants.

The FSMA urged consumers to reject any financial products or services offered by Bergans or BC Edufin Academy and to verify the regulatory status of financial service providers before investing. The regulator also noted that bankruptcy proceedings against BC Edufin Academy were opened in February 2026.
