AvaTrade Plans to Shut Polish Branch, Retain Local Client Support

3 hours ago BrokersView

AvaTrade is closing its Polish branch nearly six years after opening the office in 2020. Patryk Schulmeister, Managing Director of AvaTrade’s Polish operations, confirmed the closure while announcing his departure from the broker.

Polish Branch to Close

AvaTrade opened its Polish office in mid-2020 to provide a localised trading experience. Schulmeister said the broker will continue supporting Polish clients and partners through its international operations, although he did not specify which entity will provide that support.

AvaTrade’s regulatory information shows operations under entities regulated in jurisdictions including Ireland, Cyprus, Australia and Japan.

AvaTrade’s Broader Business

AvaTrade, founded in 2006, offers forex and CFD trading and launched a futures trading platform in 2024, according to the report. The broker has also been linked to broader expansion activity, including a reported bid related to the FXCM and Tradu brands, although the status of that deal remains unclear.

For Polish clients, the branch closure does not mean the end of AvaTrade’s stated local client support. Investors should confirm which AvaTrade entity will service their account and check the applicable regulatory jurisdiction and account terms.
