CDG Global Review Overview

In this CDG Global review, we analyze the broker's regulatory standing, trading fees, and platform execution speeds. This comprehensive evaluation breaks down key features to help you determine: is CDG Global a good broker for your trading needs?

Is CDG Global Legit and Safe?

CDG Global operates under a highly fragmented corporate structure where client safety depends entirely on the regional entity used, though widespread regulatory warnings make it a high-risk broker.

CDG Global review

What Is CDG Global? Company Background

CDG Global was established in 2019 as an online retail forex and CFD broker, aiming to provide retail traders with access to global financial markets using MetaTrader platforms. Originally headquartered in Labuan, Malaysia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the broker marketed itself to global traders with promises of fast execution and competitive trading environments.

However, the corporate structure and active status of CDG Global have become exceptionally convoluted over time:

  • CDG Global’s European arm, CDG Global (EU) Ltd, was renamed to HTFX (EU) Ltd, while its UK-registered sister company was renamed to HTFX Limited.
  • The broker’s Labuan-regulated money broking business, formerly known as CDG Global (Labuan) Limited, was officially renamed to Concord Markets Limited.
  • Widespread reports and industry watchdogs indicate that the original retail brokerage brand "CDG Global" has ceased active operations or gone out of business, leaving behind a complex trail of structural rebrands and unresolved client withdrawal issues.

CDG Global Regulation

CDG Global has historically operated under the regulatory jurisdictions of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and the Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA).

While CySEC is a highly respected, top-tier European regulatory authority with strict oversight, Labuan FSA is a mid-tier regional regulator providing more flexible supervision [CySEC official, Labuan FSA official].

Traders can access the CySEC official database or the Labuan FSA official directory to verify the historical licensing status of these entities. You can check the CySEC official register to verify CDG Global's past compliance record by searching license number 332/17.

The following comparative analysis maps out the specific regulatory entities under the CDG Global umbrella and the levels of investor protection they offer.

Entity NameRegulatorLicense NumberRegulatory TierInvestor Protection
CDG Global (EU) Ltd(Rebranded to HTFX (EU) Ltd)Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC)332/17Tier 1Investor Compensation Fund (ICF) up to €20,000, negative balance protection, segregated accounts.
CDG Global (Labuan) Limited(Rebranded to Concord Markets Limited)Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA)MB/20/0047Tier 3Segregated accounts; no statutory investor compensation scheme.
CDG Global Markets(Rebranded to HTFX Limited)Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)822279Tier 1Segregated accounts; FSCS protection (limited to professional clients only).
CDG Global LLCSaint Vincent and the Grenadines Financial Services Authority (SVGFSA)1726 (Registration Only)UnregulatedNo regulatory oversight; no investor protection.

The critical takeaway from this structural layout is that unless a trader is onboarded under the strictly regulated European or UK entities, their funds are exposed to offshore entities that provide no real regulatory safety nets.

Which CDG Global Entity Serves Your Region?

Depending on your residency, CDG Global's complex entity layout dictates vastly different trading conditions, risk profiles, and protection mechanisms.

  • European and UK Clients: Historically onboarded under the CySEC-regulated or FCA-regulated entities, these clients benefited from standard European securities rules, including retail leverage caps of 1:30 and negative balance protection.
  • Global and Asian Clients: Onboarded through the offshore Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) registration or the Labuan money broking license. This offshore onboarding allowed traders to access loose conditions—such as massive leverage up to 1:1000—but left them without any external administrative protection or access to legal recourse in the event of broker insolvency.

Restricted Countries

Due to strict regulatory restrictions, CDG Global does not offer its services to residents of certain jurisdictions. These restricted regions include:

  • United States
  • Canada
  • North Korea
  • Iran
  • Syria
  • Sudan

These restrictions are primarily driven by local regulatory limitations; for instance, the SEC and CFTC in the United States strictly forbid unregulated offshore entities from providing speculative CFD contracts to US retail investors.

Client Fund Protection

While CDG Global's European and UK arms implemented segregated client accounts at tier-1 banking institutions to isolate client funds from corporate capital, its offshore arms operated with far fewer guarantees. Negative balance protection—designed to prevent traders from losing more than their initial deposit—was only legally mandated and strictly enforced under the European CySEC framework. Under the offshore SVG and Labuan entities, while advertised, negative balance protection was not subject to independent regulatory audits, leaving international retail traders heavily exposed during extreme market volatility.

CDG Global User Reviews and Trustpilot Rating

CDG Global holds an average Trustpilot rating of 2.8/5 based on 3 reviews, reflecting a highly negative user sentiment and an extremely sparse public track record as of June 2026 [See CDG Global reviews on Trustpilot]. Because the broker’s profile remains unclaimed and has attracted virtually no verified or active client engagement, prospective traders should treat this lack of feedback as a major warning sign.

The limited feedback on this profile consists entirely of highly critical comments and reports of financial loss [See CDG Global reviews on Trustpilot]:

  • Severe Withdrawal Blocks: Users complain about having substantial sums of money frozen, with one reviewer noting that approximately €30,000 was locked inside their account with no clear explanation or support from the company.
  • Prevalence of Recovery Scams: All existing reviews on the page are accompanied by spam advertisements for fund recovery services, which typically target individuals who have already lost capital to broker insolvency or exit scams.
  • Lack of Positive Endorsements: There are absolutely no positive reports or high-rating reviews on the profile to suggest that retail clients have had a satisfactory or functional trading experience.

To read these reports firsthand, you can See CDG Global reviews on Trustpilot for a breakdown of historical user complaints.

CDG Global Account Types

CDG Global structures its accounts into Micro, Standard, Pro, and VIP tiers to accommodate different deposit levels, though exorbitant commission charges on its ECN option make it highly uncompetitive.

CDG Global Account Types and Minimum Deposit Requirements

The selection of a CDG Global account significantly influences execution speeds, pricing models, and overall safety margins. The broker splits its retail offerings into four core live profiles, each catering to distinct experience levels and capital capacities:

  • Micro Account: Tailored for beginners transitioning from a demo environment to live trading. The entry barrier is set at a minimum deposit of $100, which is significantly higher than the $5 to $10 minimums offered by major international brokers. It provides a maximum leverage of 1:1000, exposing small balances to substantial volatility. Spreads on this account are floating and begin at a wide 1.5 pips, with zero added commission, making it easy to calculate costs but overall expensive to run for frequent traders.
  • Standard Account: Designed for casual day traders who prefer a commission-free pricing structure. It requires a minimum deposit of $100 and offers maximum leverage up to 1:1000. While convenient, the trade-off is wider floating spreads starting from 1.5 pips on major forex pairs, which can quickly eat into the profits of high-frequency strategies.
  • Pro Account: Geared toward experienced retail investors. It demands a steeper minimum deposit of $500, but in return, it lowers the spread starting point to a more competitive 0.4 pips. Leverage on this tier is capped at 1:500 to mitigate market risk, and the trading execution operates on a hybrid STP model with zero added commission.
  • VIP Account: Built for institutional-grade, high-volume traders who require direct market access. This account requires a substantial minimum deposit of $2,000 to $5,000, unlocking raw spreads that start at 0.0 pips. However, the commission-to-spread trade-off is highly unfavorable; CDG Global charges a hefty commission rate of up to $20 per round-turn lot, which is roughly three times higher than the $6 to $7 industry standard charged by top-tier raw-spread brokers.

Does CDG Global Offer an Islamic Account?

Yes, CDG Global offers swap-free Islamic accounts tailored for Muslim traders who must adhere to Sharia principles prohibiting the accumulation or payment of overnight interest (Riba). This swap-free setting is available upon application for both the Standard and VIP account tiers, meaning overnight positions on currency pairs and precious metals will not incur interest charges, though the broker reserves the right to charge flat administration fees for positions held over extended periods to prevent trading abuse.

CDG Global Fees and Trading Costs

CDG Global's overall cost structure sits in the high-mid range compared to similar retail brokers, offering standard spreads on commission-free tiers but imposing unusually high per-lot commissions on raw accounts and heavy penalty fees for inactive profiles.

CDG Global Trading Fees (Spreads / Commission Fees / Swap and Overnight Fees)

Trading costs at CDG Global vary significantly across its accounts, presenting a mix of standard spread markups and steep commission fees. For day traders and retail scalpers, the total cost of trading is determined by three main elements:

  • Spreads: On the Micro and Standard accounts, spreads are floating and start at 1.5 pips for major pairs like EUR/USD, which is slightly above the industry average of 1.0 to 1.2 pips for standard retail accounts. The Pro account lowers this barrier with spreads starting from 0.4 to 1.0 pip. While the VIP account advertises raw spreads starting from 0.0 pips, average spreads under real market conditions tend to fluctuate around 0.2 to 0.5 pips.
  • Commission Fees: The Standard and Micro accounts are commission-free. However, the raw-spread VIP and ECN-style options carry a massive commission burden. Depending on the exact entity and account sub-tier, commissions can reach up to $10 per lot ($20 round turn) or are calculated dynamically as 0.003% to 0.005% of the transaction value. A $20 round-turn commission is remarkably uncompetitive, as top-tier brokers typically charge between $6 and $7 per round-turn lot.
  • Swap and Overnight Fees: Positions held open past 5:00 PM EST are subject to swap charges, reflecting the interest rate differential between the two currencies being traded. These swaps are automatically calculated and debited or credited to the account balance. While swap-free options are available for Islamic account holders, conventional traders face standard floating swap rates that can eat significantly into profits over longer-term holds.

CDG Global Non-Trading Fees (Inactivity Fees / Currency Conversion Fees)

Beyond the direct costs of placing trades, CDG Global levies highly aggressive and punitive non-trading charges that are absent from or far lower at premium brokerages:

  • Inactivity Fees: If a trading account remains dormant without any transaction activity for 30 consecutive days, CDG Global charges a monthly maintenance fee of $20 to $50. Most regulated brokers only apply inactivity fees after 6 to 12 months of dormancy, and usually limit the charge to $10.
  • Currency Conversion Fees: If you fund your account or trade assets denominated in a currency different from your account's base currency (typically USD or EUR), a conversion fee is applied to translate the value.
  • Dispute and Chargeback Penalties: CDG Global includes highly unusual administrative fees in its terms and conditions. If a client attempts to file a transaction dispute or chargeback with their payment provider, the broker charges an immediate $200 "research fee". Furthermore, if the chargeback request is ultimately denied by the bank, CDG Global charges an additional $200 administrative penalty—a policy designed to aggressively deter clients from pursuing payment disputes.

CDG Global Deposits & Withdrawals (Deposit and Withdrawal Methods / Withdrawal Speed and Minimum Limits / Deposit and Withdrawal Fees / Withdrawal Issues and User Complaints)

CDG Global supports several deposit and withdrawal channels with low transaction minimums, but restrictive free withdrawal caps and severe user reports of frozen funds make the payment environment highly untrustworthy.

Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

The broker's marketing lists a broad catalog of payment gateways, including international Bank Wire transfers, Credit/Debit Cards, and popular online e-wallets such as Neteller, Skrill, Alipay, FasaPay, Help2Pay, PayTrust88, and NganLuong, as well as cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Tether. In practice, however, independent platform tests reveal that once users log into their actual client portal, the payment selections are often restricted to Bank Transfers, Alipay, and Neteller. Furthermore, deposits are not fully automated; users must manually capture screenshots of their payment confirmation and upload them to the client portal for manual verification by back-office staff.

Withdrawal Speed and Minimum Limits

While CDG Global advertises entry barriers as low as $50, the actual minimum deposit required to fund any account is $100. Withdrawals typically take between 1 to 5 business days to clear, depending on whether you are using electronic wallets (which are generally faster) or international bank wire transfers.

Deposit and Withdrawal Fees

The broker offers clients three free withdrawal requests per calendar month. Beginning with the fourth withdrawal request in the same month, CDG Global charges additional, unspecified withdrawal transaction fees. Furthermore, a flat penalty fee of $20 is automatically applied if a client requests a withdrawal from an account that has not executed any trades, preventing traders from simply depositing and retracting capital.

Withdrawal Issues and User Complaints

The withdrawal process is one of the most heavily criticized aspects of CDG Global's operations. Widespread complaints across public forums and review portals highlight systemic issues where clients have their trading profiles abruptly terminated or frozen when attempting to pull their capital. Multiple users have documented losing access to tens of thousands of dollars, with the broker citing arbitrary compliance reviews or technical trade audits to justify withholding client funds indefinitely. These severe reports indicate a substantial risk of capital loss, especially for international retail traders operating under unregulated offshore subsidiaries.

CDG Global Trading Platforms, Conditions & Experience

CDG Global delivers its trading services through the universally acclaimed MetaTrader platforms and supports high-leverage accounts, but the broker's substandard execution speeds and subpar research materials significantly hurt the overall client experience.

Does CDG Global Support MT4, MT5 & Mobile Trading?

CDG Global supports both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 across desktop, web, and mobile systems, providing traders with familiar industry-standard interfaces. Both platforms are available for download on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, allowing users to access technical indicators, automated trading capabilities via Expert Advisors (EAs), and customized charting tools.

While MetaQuotes software is a robust option, several drawbacks exist:

  • The broker lacks a proprietary, customized trading platform, leaving users entirely dependent on third-party software.
  • Technical downloads are often poorly maintained on the broker's website, meaning users may experience connectivity bugs or outdated installation files.
  • Mobile trading lacks advanced multi-charting capabilities, making complex technical analysis on small screens difficult.

What Can You Trade on CDG Global? (markets and instruments)

CDG Global offers a diverse asset index consisting of over 140 CFD contracts across forex, indices, commodities, shares, and cryptocurrencies, though its product depth is narrower than premium market competitors.

The broker provides access to five core asset classes:

  • Forex: Over 50 currency pairs including major, minor, and exotic pairings.
  • Commodities and Energies: Spot metals like gold and silver, alongside Brent crude, WTI crude, and natural gas.
  • Stock Indices: Major international indices such as the S&P 500, Dow Jones, DAX, and FTSE.
  • Share CFDs: CFDs on prominent global equities, allowing traders to speculate on individual stock price movements.
  • Cryptocurrencies: High-risk digital asset CFDs including Bitcoin and Tether traded against fiat currencies.

CDG Global Leverage, Margin & Order Execution

CDG Global provides highly aggressive leverage up to 1:1000 for retail accounts through its offshore entities, but it relies on inconsistent market-maker execution that can lead to high slippage.

The available leverage limits vary dramatically by regional registration due to differing regulatory frameworks:

  • European Jurisdiction (CySEC): Leverage is legally restricted to a maximum of 1:30 for retail clients to minimize potential loss.
  • Offshore Jurisdiction (SVG and Labuan): Maximum leverage runs up to 1:1000, allowing traders to control massive exposure with very low margin requirements, though this heavily amplifies risk.

Regarding execution, CDG Global operates on a hybrid Straight Through Processing (STP) and Market Maker (Dealing Desk) model. According to their execution summary reports, the broker takes the underlying spreads from its liquidity venues and adds a volume-based markup. In real-world trading conditions, clients report frequent execution delays, requotes during fast-moving markets, and negative slippage, indicating that its backend systems are not optimized for fast-paced trading strategies.

CDG Global Research Tools & Educational Resources

CDG Global provides a basic suite of trading guides, videos, and articles, but its analytical offerings are too rudimentary to benefit professional or advanced traders.

The broker’s educational and research inventory consists of:

  • Basic trading webinars and short video tutorials explaining core platform features.
  • Introductory articles covering fundamental market analysis and technical charting concepts.
  • A standard economic calendar displaying upcoming global financial events.

However, advanced tools such as real-time market sentiment indicators, daily professional video analysis, automated chart pattern recognition software (such as Autochartist), and institutional-grade trading signals are completely missing from their ecosystem.

How Good Is CDG Global Customer Support?

CDG Global lacks a functional live chat feature, forcing clients to rely on slow email ticketing and a Malaysian telephone line for issue resolution.

The customer service department can be reached via three main routes:

  • Email Support: Written inquiries can be sent directly to cs@cdgglobalfx.com.
  • Telephone Support: Direct phone support is routed through their Labuan, Malaysia office at +60 087504154.
  • Social Media Platforms: Basic updates are posted to their Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram profiles.

The overall quality of support is heavily criticized in public user forums. Because there is no 24/5 or 24/7 instant web-based live chat, traders facing critical platform errors are forced to submit email tickets that frequently take 24 to 72 hours to receive a boilerplate response. Furthermore, many users report that customer support becomes entirely unresponsive once a client asks questions regarding withdrawal status, missing funds, or account closures.

Who Is CDG Global Best For?

CDG Global caters mostly to high-leverage speculators and PAMM managers seeking flexible offshore parameters, while being fundamentally unsuitable for beginners and cost-sensitive retail scalpers.

Is CDG Global Good for High-Leverage Traders?

Yes, CDG Global is well-suited for high-leverage speculators who prioritize extreme margin flexibility under offshore entities. Operating outside of strict European retail caps, the CDG Global broker allows users to trade with leverage limits reaching up to 1:1000. While this massive ratio gives aggressive traders the ability to control large positions with minimal collateral, the combination of high leverage and standard market-maker execution poses an exceptionally high risk of rapid margin liquidation.

Is CDG Global Good for PAMM and Copy Trading?

Yes, CDG Global serves as a technically functional hub for PAMM (Percent Allocation Management Module) managers and copy traders, although severe operational risks make funding these accounts highly dangerous. The PAMM CDG Global infrastructure allows master traders to manage multiple sub-accounts through a single, master interface on CDG Global MT4. However, while the technical allocation tools operate as intended, the widespread user complaints regarding blocked principal withdrawals and frozen master account profits heavily undermine the practical viability of investing in or running a fund pool here.

Is CDG Global Good for Scalpers and Day Traders?

No, CDG Global is highly unsuitable for retail scalpers and day traders because of its bloated commission rates and slow execution times. Scalpers rely on rock-bottom transaction costs and millisecond-level execution speeds to make razor-thin margins on rapid trades. CDG Global’s raw-spread VIP account levies an exorbitant commission of up to $20 per round-turn lot—nearly three times the industry standard of $6 to $7. This extreme cost burden, combined with reports of platform slippage, renders high-frequency scalping strategies entirely unprofitable.

Best for: High-leverage offshore speculators and PAMM account managers.
Less ideal for: Beginners, high-frequency scalpers, and safety-focused retail investors.

Compare CDG Global with Other Popular Brokers

CDG Global falls significantly short when compared to top-tier international brokers due to its weak regulatory standing, expensive commission structures, and highly unstable withdrawal processing.

CDG Global vs Exness

The primary difference between CDG Global and Exness lies in regulatory safety and withdrawal reliability, where Exness holds multi-tier licenses and guarantees automated, instant payouts [Exness].

While CDG Global demands a $100 minimum deposit and is flagged by multiple directories as having ceased operations, Exness allows traders to start with as little as $10 under highly regulated structures. Furthermore, Exness provides ultra-low floating spreads from 0.0 pips with very competitive commission rates. By contrast, CDG Global charges a punitive $20 per-lot commission on its raw accounts, rendering it far more expensive for day-to-day trading. Finally, Exness's automated, instant withdrawal system stands in stark opposition to the severe withdrawal delays and account freezes reported by CDG Global clients.

Takeaway: CDG Global is only considered for legacy PAMM operations, whereas Exness is the superior choice for overall cost, speed, and safety.

CDG Global vs XM

The most notable distinction between CDG Global and XM is the quality of regulatory protection and beginner accessibility, with XM maintaining strong regulatory compliance and highly welcoming entry barriers [XM].

XM features top-tier oversight from ASIC and CySEC, whereas CDG Global’s operations are mainly linked to offshore entities with high risk warnings. XM supports beginner traders with a tiny $5 minimum deposit and an extensive, globally recognized educational center. Conversely, CDG Global requires a $100 minimum deposit and offers outdated, rudimentary training materials. In terms of platform integrity, XM has a stellar track record for processing payouts promptly; on the other hand, CDG Global faces widespread online complaints regarding frozen funds.

Takeaway: CDG Global may offer higher offshore leverage, but XM is much safer and highly recommended for beginners.

CDG Global vs IC Markets

The main divergence between CDG Global and IC Markets is the cost efficiency and execution quality of their ECN accounts, where IC Markets offers true raw pricing and institutional-grade speeds [IC Markets].

While CDG Global's ECN accounts are weighed down by a highly uncompetitive $20 round-turn commission, [IC Markets](https://testfb.tostar.top/cn/brokersview/brokers/IC Markets) charges an industry-standard fee of just $7 per round-turn lot. IC Markets further outperforms CDG Global by connecting traders to deep, institutional liquidity pools that minimize slippage on MetaTrader and cTrader platforms. Additionally, IC Markets operates under rigorous tier-1 regulators, by contrast with the unlicenced or offshore-dominated status of CDG Global. Lastly, IC Markets handles its $200 minimum deposit requirement with maximum transparency, avoiding the hidden penalties and research charges imposed by CDG Global.

Takeaway: CDG Global is less competitive for systematic traders; IC Markets is the premier choice for scalping, algorithmic trading, and raw-spread efficiency.

CDG Global Broker Quick Verdict

CDG Global offers high offshore leverage and technically functional PAMM accounts, though its uncompetitive raw commissions and severe withdrawal blocks make it an exceptionally high-risk broker. Our CDG Global review concludes that unless you are registered under its legacy European entity, the brand's regulatory blacklists and structural rebrands make trading here an unacceptably dangerous venture.

Editorial Transparency: This CDG Global review is based on information from the official CDG Global website, current regulatory filings, and independent third-party sources such as Trustpilot. We cross-checked the broker's regulation and license details, account types, trading and non-trading fees, deposit and withdrawal terms, platforms, and real user feedback to ensure accuracy and objectivity.
